Kay, this latest PSN attack wasn't Anonymous. A few weeks ago they took PSN down because Sony took legal action against a pair of hackers or something, but the ongoing one isn't them. AnonOps denied responsibility.

Kay, this latest PSN attack wasn't Anonymous. A few weeks ago they took PSN down because Sony took legal action against a pair of hackers or something, but the ongoing one isn't them. AnonOps denied responsibility.
And, some people are reporting their banks catching people trying to withdraw money from their credit cards. Doesn't sound like something that would protect free speech.

The internet is an all-encompassing part of modern life, and I would agree that it is becoming a basic right (in first world nations, at least). It's pretty much a second world, and the Bill of Rights should apply there (yes, I know the 'net is worldwide).
But, was there some reason PSN was targeted or was that just the only thing that could be touched? I don't think Sony is passing these laws. Unless they openly support them, I don't see how taking PSN down sends an anti-censorship message.
