  • I was watching Ekta Kapoor's version of Mahabharat and it totally sucked. It was more of showing of the bodies of the actors and the effects rather than showing exactly what Mahabharat is all about and the message it is trying to portray. Although I have to admit that it was nice to see the actors of Ekta Kapoors's Mahabharat look so sexy.

  • I feel really sorry for Draupadi. Sometimes being too beautiful can be a curse.

  • the only good apple in a barrelfull rotten ones

  • @Namsii97 if abhimanyu would not die then pandavas would never fight heartly with kauravas.krishnaji always used to know very well about that abhinanyu will be slayed badly.but he never interfere in it....in the same way jaydrath became the cause of abhimanyus death.....so everything was predefined by god...so we cant belame to anybody...

  • i thought before marriage of Subadhra & Arjun they were cousins cause Arjuna was kunti putra ,Kunti was bua of Krishna & subadhra was sis of Krishna so Subdhra become cousine of Arjun

  • they r cuzins

  • they werent blood related i believe

  • Rupa Ganguly is Kantaap !!!

  • @cuintouch what is kantaap?

  • But the main discussion was abt the doublestandards of them upholding their dharma. Imperfection is ok but if u hav that much knowledge when u err it is like a catastrophe coz the degree to which u err is also catastrophical.

if ppl like Bhishm (best of the human race) chooses to wrong eventho he knows its wrong thn tht life was useless. He nvr learnt in that breaking a word for dhrma is also dhrma. if u err thinking u will do praschyit next life, thn doesnt it negate the whole rebirth theory?

  • @treehugerproductions i m waiting since 30 hrs.

  • chill buddy.. sri krishna has given hundreds of morals and messages by the whole war of kurukshetra.. one of them is in a nation where women are not respected, that nation can never survive for long.. even Gods dont reside there...

  • lol who says they dont punish relatives.. well it differs from person to person.. if a person like dhritrashta, who does pay any heed to laws, justice and dharma, is sitting on throne then watever u said happens.. but if a person like pandavas are sitting on throne then kurukshetra war starts

  • Comment removed

  • hell noo.. they did not let him go coz he was their relative.. they let him go coz becoz of him tthey didnt want his wife to bear the pain.. so they just insulted him to the last degree and let him go.. actually according to dharma, that is type of death too.. i mean getting insulted this badly is equal to death

  • Very valid point. Seems Yudhistir was more attached to his ill brother than his wife...

  • well ya.. i kinda agree wid ya.. donno why everytime draupadi faces such injustice and still loads of people over here says that draupadi is less respectable coz she was behind this war..

  • Comment removed

  • yup it does.. that is why i have written somewhere in one of my posts that mahabharat is an epic which does not one single moral.. it has thousands of morals which can be useful forour day to day life..

  • Comment removed

  • yup.. u r right.. the definition of right and wrong varies from person to person.. it depends on the way the person sees it and the way person thinks.. but it does not matter wat a person thinks, truth is always unique and it can never based on a person's thoughts.. hence on that basis a person gets the reward of their karma.

  • The scene b/w Abhimanyu and Krishna was seriously mind boggling where Shri Krishna's responsibility for the Dwaparaa yuga is finely mentioned.

  • History repeats itself and the purpose of Bhrama is the inversely proportionate action of Shiva. That means that Bhrama creates ONLY after Shiva destroys, and Shiva destroys ONLY after Bhrama creates.

  • Upon further thinking, one can also determine as Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, both are conventionally agreed. Although Shiva is considered as the 'destroyer', I must say I will have to, to an extent, disagree, because energy can not be destroyed, and if energy is destroyed then Brahma itself would be destroyed, and so the creation would not happen again. Hence Shiva is the 'final truth', Ram and Krishna too are the 'final truth'. The interpretation of this is up to us to decipher.

  • Excellent.... Pranam to you.

  • WoW!!! You really thought deep. :-) Looks like you have a lot of definitions for the "final truth".

I hope you understand that this is a place for comments, generally about the video and less for your personal introspection. :-)

  • Thanks for the compliments! I agree, I do have various definitions for various things, such philosophical aspects keep contradicting in my head and it does become a little confusing and frustrating!

Your concern over the comments page is valid. Though I just thought I would express my interpretation of what part of the video may be implying. So in essence, my comments were a response of admiration to the thought provoking nature of Mahabharat.

    Om Shanti!

  • No worries!!!! If you expand on it, I think You Tube is does not allow enough characters to complete a thought even, :-)

  • really mxmsk, i didnt know that u are the youtube moderator. comments is just a word and u do not dictate what's written here and what's not. i myself am greatly interested in knowing what others think and everybody has a right to say what they wish.

  • I don't think the original poster had a problem with what I said. You yourself are censuring my opinion. Just like you expressed, I said that I wished. Upto others to follow or not follow.

  • just a minute, you have got it all muddled up. first things first. shiva is the destroyer, meaning he is the destroyer of creation and not the creator , which is bramha himself!! the energy released by destroying the creation is used to make new creations...just like we all take birth and die one day....Krishna or God is ofcourse the final truth...and complete truth.....meaning we shud all walk on the path shown by him to attain nirvana...

  • this is in response to harshindian

  • Hi Sanjali.. upon analyzing what you said, in response to what I said, after considering what was portrayed in this Mahabharat episode and what I know in general, I realized that every person's interpretation of the trilok and GOD differs. As such you are right, though I find what I said earlier to be more convincing, mainly because what defines 'satya'? What is said, or what is there? Hence my analysis contradicts yours. As such, I am a mere human, I am no one to find the truth, just speculate!
