Ugh people have to stop complaining about how the series and the books are different both with The vampire diaries and The secret circle. YES THEY ARE BASED ON THE BOOKS BUT THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! So instead of giving bad reports because they are not the same at least say you didn't like it because you don't like one of the actors but don't blame the writer because the books and shows are different cause there meant to be.

@al20a I hate TVD simply because the Elena depicted in the books is NOT like Nina Dobrev's Elena. Through no fault of Nina, really, it's because the writers make her bland and weak. What I like so far about TSC is that even though it has differences, and isn't a top quality show (not many pilots are great, though, so I guess that's not a huge problem), Cassie has moments of humor and strength. I think if you're gonna have a main character, she shouldn't be the wakest of the bunch, like Elena is.

@Brooklynnba Okay, I never said anything against Nina. She's a GREAT actress, I truly think that. I said "Through no fault of Nina". Also, maybe weak was the wrong choice of word, but I find her very bland and quite boring. She has strong moments, but there are only glimpses. My main problem it the writers. They don't justify ANY characters motives or reasons. The show makes no sense. I can't stand how illogical it can be, like Matt killing himself. There were other ways. That was too drastic.

Sometimes, it's good, but sometimes it sucks, because when you read the books, you kind of love the characters, and you fall in love with then, then suddenly it's completely changed in the series.. I was kind of weirded out about Vampire Diaries myself when I first saw it, after reading the books:P But hopefully they will follow these books a bit at least.. Fingers crossed:P..
