  • Can see your point on krill. Smaller organism + less exposure to oxygen + less capsule-processing = POTENT level of omega 3 fatty acids. However, being eco-conscious, Whole Foods refuses to sell krill oil because capturing krill depletes whales of their primary food. From a overall perspective, your advice is so spot-on to the point where it affects the Marvel of the Ocean: Whales. You got a point, but at the same time, from a different perspective, Wholes Foods has a point too..

  • I totally agree with you that we have a failed healthcare system. For profit healthcare makes me sick. I have atrial fibrillation and am quite skeptical of most options that I am presented with for treatment, including my prescription drugs. I respect you for taking on the status quo and found you after having taken Vitamin D3 for two to three years and having become quite sick. I checked out all substances that I was ingesting regularly, as I felt it was something I was exposing myself to.

  • HEMP Seed Oil, Organic brand(s) is best. Keep it frozen.

  • I've been taking Fish Oil for my Asthma for about 2 years and have tried Krill Oil. It doesn't work as well for me personally. The Krill Oil gave me somewhat more energy but doesn't have enough EPA content to help my asthma like the Fish/Salmon Oil does. Perhaps my body doesn't metabolize the phoshopolipid bonds as well as others.

  • MY conclusion pray before you eat, that God will take away the contamintants from your food and eat a varietiy of whole foods. Is there enough krill to go around for both men and whales?

  • What are the EPA and DHA contents in your krill oil product Dr. I'm just curious because I'm taking Orange OxiMega by Controlled Labs and they have 800mg EPA, DHA 400mg per 2 softgels

  • what levels of krill are actually going to move the omega index?? most krill products i have encountered are relatively low in EPA and DHA? also what about people that have a shell fish allergy? Krill isnt distilled so wouldnt it still have the antigens and proteins?

  • @paul85805 Due to krill's phoshopolipid bonds it is absorbed 5-6X better than fish oil so you need about 20% of the dose.

    Why not just consume food that is high in omega threes? And fish oil and flax pills are supplements, they are not meant to replace natural sources.

  • I appreciate your videos but I don't take krill oil. Instead, I opt for taking chlorella several times a week which is the same place the krill get their dha. Well, they may not get it from chlorella but they do get it from micro algae and that's my preferred source. Also, our world can't handle everyone taking fish oil. Even krill. We have been depleting the resources of our oceans for far too long. It's time to start advocating some vegan supplements.

  • What the heck? I mean, many studies say Fish Oil is good for you, then I hear it's bad...then I hear it's okay in moderation, then I hear take as much as you want, then I hear this.

    I mean come on...what is the truth? Geez. I'm getting to the point where I don't care anymore...who knows? Maybe they'll tell us 10 years down the road that bananas are very toxic, or walnuts contain this dangerous fatty acid that will not convert to the brain cells efficiently. What is the truth?

  • @zunakonana No, it is FAR worse and nearly always oxidized. Freshly ground flax seeds are better but nowhere near as good as krill

  • @mercola Hello Doctor, I have eliminated Gluten Dairy and soy, But I eat fresh Soy beans in my salads and haven't had a problem.. is fresh soy beans ok? also, I believe like you say the obesity epidemic in this country is out of control over weight kids consuming huge amounts of poisonous Dairy and gluten! and most medical doctors dont want to cure anything, they just want to sell more pharmaceutical drugs!

    It really is a good source of omega-3, probably the best among vegetation-derived oils, but still pretty far behind fish oil. Fish roe is a good stable source, but not all roe is equally fatty; roe of some types of salmon is good and affordable. Anyhow, flax seed oil should not be refined and should be used in the season when its available fresh. You can't keep it year round, but you can stock upon omega-3 while it's available.

  • I seriously think that a research team should be put together to bring ppl who market poisonous products (soy) for mothers with newborns to accountability--- someone needs to expose the fact. Thank you for starting here.

Too many facts out there for everyone to see on that issue. Dr. Mercola gives some of the best researched facts out there. Dont take his word for it, or anyone else's. DO OWN RESEARCH.

  • Dear Dr Mercola, while you are a very helpful source of information on health, I must say that as a vegeterian, I could not use krill as a source of omega 3 fat. I am not vegan, so I use eggs and yogurt as my main sources of omega 3. But from personal experience, it is very true what you say about soy.

  • @DancesWithMrsWoolf Take golden algae oil or extract it's the best source of DHA. Sure Dr Mercola won't tell you this but that's because he doesn't sell it...

  • I believe krill oil is better than fish oil- some fish oils contain traces of mercury- anyway in another video they claim Rat Fish, Skate Fish, and Shark liver oil are better than fish oil in omega 3-6-9 fatty acids. Is this true?

    I understand that in ancient times- Roman- Greek and Spartan soldiers were issued rations of cod liver oil for health- how good is the old reliable cod liver oil? Thank You

  • Based on your recommendation, I started taking krill oil. It's the only animal product (aside from a little honey and astaxanthin) that I consume. I found one that combines krill with astaxanthin. Thank you so much for your very informative videos.

  • dr mercola seems to be even seeming to go against the "natural" opinions. interesting. wish i could get more info about why soy is bad. phytonutrients/chemicals are seen as a positive by dr. fuhrman.

  • Fermented soy is healthy for you, its the Unfermented soy you find in most soy products and processed foods and in grocery stores that is awful for you. Men should stay clear of soy at all cost-- It's highly feminizing with the phyto estrogens.

  • Thanks Dr. mercola I know your not a fake. You give me great info on you tube. Thanks. That makes sense. Its just sad mercury has contaminated all the sea life. When I took this omega 3 fish oil tablets from trader joes they kinda hurt my belly sometimes. So I will give krill a try.
