The problem with israel's government is that it always goes too far. It just doesn't know when to stop. People can believe and forget a lot, but not everything. The tide will always turn against israel, because it just doesn't know when it is too much and when to stop.

Yes they are a powerful organization. Here is how it all works. Each country has a representative which they send to the UN. Then the representatives talk to eachother about stuff they feel should be talked about. Then they probably had lunch and came up the idea that they should walk out during the speech if Iran started talking about Israel, then they all schemed together to organize it by talking with each other. It's all part of the plan.

I agree they schemed it. My father was a UN diplomat for many years. But they also clearly discussed or had permission from their home governments to do this. Diplomats are not in the habity of making bold political gestures on the fly. They would have been instructed by the home governmentsa to do this.

Being allies with Israel means having troops in the Middle East or at least being able to easily send troop there. This gives you huge strategic benefits. This is why the US is reluctant to leave Afghanistan and Iraq, it allows them to have military in the region.
