  • cool weelies

  • try going down on the tire size u mess up the hole gear ratio

  • what kind of motor/esc temps are you getting. i need an average to shoot for.

    thanks.

  • All you need to know if that 170 degrees is getting to be very hot for a motor. Extended play with powerful batteries and most specially your gearing combo will affect temps the most. Just don't go past 170 or you risk hurting the motor.

ESC on mine does not get hot at all, it has not been a concern thankfully.

  • how much do one of these bad boys cost?

  • They whine because they are drill motors. The massive internals have fans built into them to keep them cool. Take a power drill and peg the button and you should hear the same noise.

  • This whining was due to a lose Spur gear though. But you are right nevertheless.

  • Thank you. I agree with all of your points. I must say that running these heavy wheels is a guilty pleasure... they look great and perform fairly wheel (HPI Goliath on HPI Blast Wheels).

The Maxamps fit perfectly in the tray. No problems at all. Got myself a NOVAK LVC for 4 cells and soldered it to the power leads and I can run for 50 to 70 minutes depending on terrain, etc. I recommend LiPo! Huge difference!

  • Hmm .... blue loctite or selflocking nuts.

Try to go with original wheels and bigger pinion. Big wheels mean much rotating mass ..... and that's bad.

Assuming you got 1 700HO in there there should be PLENTY of power to rip the truck around even with 18-20T pinion. Don't forget 1 700HO puts out more power than 2 titans.

You say you have the maxamps 8K ..... how do they fit in the battery compartment of the revo ?!?

  • Put blue locktite on your wheel nuts , its the only way too keep them on .

  • Thank you. I will have to do that I guess.

Will I have problems trying to remove them at all?

  • No , the blue locktite is medium strenght and will break loose pretty easily .

  • I would not agree with that. I use blue locktite on my Rustler VXL, and though it is much lighter than an E-Revo, I have gone off 30 foot jumps without it breaking loose. Red locktite, while stronger, is actually under the category of being permanent. It can only be loosed with a lighter.

  • Blue loctite is working PERFECT.

  • don't use to much locktite or you'l get what happened to me, strip wheel adapters !! lol, glad the locktite worked out for you tho !
