Beautiful dogs. Are these also Fleur's afghan's? When I lived there I would walk Brea to Museumplein where she would sometimes play with the girls.

gorgeous, my lovely afghan hound freya died 4 th july and i have only just been able to watch other afghans , it was too sad. I am saving for a new puppy , it has to ba an afghan no other breed will compare , all the work is so rewarding when you walk with your afghan and see them running in the park .

I used to have an Afghan - a bit crazy but beautiful dogs, very independent, though - but if you love and look after them properly, they will love you too. They're like cats!

Without frequent brushing, Afghan Hounds become a matted mess. If you can't commit to the brushing, you have to commit to frequent trimming to keep the coat short, neat, and healthy.

very special dogs are Afghans! My first dog was an Afghan, and I shall never forget him! he taught me much about the breed and that I am no match for the amount of work it takes to keep their coat in good condition. Even so, I have been ruined for any other breed. Thank you very much for sharing your video with us ! :)

Miss my Afghans, they were they neatest dogs to live with. Independent thinkers, but a lot to groom.

washing takes about an hour and brushing them really good and blowdry them would take an other hour and a half. So yes its a big job !

1 times a week when you show your dog.... 1 times in 2 weeks when you dont will be fine. At least thats what we do.....

People who think that they are stupped - better look at yourself, because this dogs very smart ;-))If you want to have slave dog, then don`t buy afghan.

One more thing - did you know that Afghans is one of the most oldest breeds in the world?? Do you think they could survive, if they are stupped??

I have owned many dogs and my Afghan was the smartest dog I have ever had, or met. She was beautiful, intelligent and a pleasure to live with for 14 years.

If you dont like this breed or the video, just go watch an other video... I dont need to know your dislikes about this breed. Afghan hounds are really usefull, they are great for hugging and giving love. The only reasons I have my dog !!! She doesnt need to do tricks, pull the sled or watch the house. She is there to be loved ! So go bug someone else !

They are as close to being a cat as you'll get in the canine family. I had one for years and he was wonderful. Exhausting, but wonderful. And he loved every animal he spotted...from far away. They are, after all, sight hounds.

That is so awesome. I was just wondering, because we have a cat, (and getting rid of him is OUT OF THE QUESTION for all of us.) And my mom wants a Great Dane. Not that it totally matters if they don't get along well. My grandmother now owns 5 acres of land for three pets, (one being an inside pet that doesnt need much room,) to run around in.

I had a cat for years and years before we got Afghan Hounds, and the puppies and my cat got along very well. In fact, they got along so well they even ate out of the same food dishes. Of course, Mama Cat would protect herself by swatting at them, but they respected her. Sometimes, when in the yard, they would take off running after her as a game, but if she ever just stopped they would just sniff her. They love chasing.
