@CsLShooter besides the gt 440, i'd say that you've got a set up that'll be able to handle most of today's games. Instead of the gt 440, I would go with one of the Radeon HD 5xxx cards. The 5670 is around 60 or 70 dollars and performs pretty well for its price range.
Hey if you could please help, ive never done pc gaming but im looking to get into it, and im trying to find a good computer that can handle call of duty, battlefield and those sorts of games, is this a good build for that?
@MrNintardo that sounds like a pretty good idea, but where could I sell these items? The freaking psu that I have (Extreme Gaming Series), is soo rare to find ($120), I really want to get 1000watt corsair(modular) and now, 1 or maybe even 2 GTX 560 TI's($250/ea.) The two 9500gt's are $60/ea, but I've OC'ed them. Do you have any recommendations on PSU's? Should I get an 850W (mod) or 1000W (also mod)?
@4PsychoNitro To be honest, with two GTX560 ti's, a good 800w should get you by. Also, ebay is your best bet for selling them. You'd be surprised how much you could get for it :P
And on the GTX560 matter, the prices of the GTX4-- series will have dropped substantially, so its worth it to go with the 4 series cards. For the price of two 560's, you might be able to get two 470's ;)
@MrNintardo Dang, really? I can get an 850W? with two cards?? Cool! I can save so much money. And Yeah, I should get a 400 series, but I'm looking for the MSi Twin Frozr editions, and the 400 series costs more than the 500 series. From i've heard, the 500 series (or 560) runs cooler and (obviously) performs better. But idk, I still want the MSI 560. Thanks for all the advice!
building a pc isnt hard 2 hours of youtube and wikipedia and ull be a genius lol...it really comes down to common sense whne bulding. the hardest is the bios configuration itll probably take sumtime bu its not algebra..
when i built my first computer i did it without the static wristband, and once i saw my friend using it while he was building his rig, and i asked him, whats that?, hes like oh you need this so you wont fry your hardware, im like oh i never used that and my computer never gave me problems, LOL
most important stuff would be a Power Supply , Motherboard , processor , 1 Hard Drive , 1 Optical Drive, Ram , and a low end graphic card if your not spending much...
Just discharge your body by touching metal objects and won't have problems while handling the pc, i don't mind with the wristband lol my table has metal supports so i just touch them with my foot and ground myself lol.
Built my first PC yesterday: Did NOT use a BareBone Kit HAF 922 Cooler Master Asus P6T Core i7 920 TX850W PSU 500 Gig HDD Samsung Optical Drive GTX 260 core 216 SSC Windows 7 Ultimate Everything went flawlessly XD
Thank you Bwana, i also am going to try and build my first pc! but i also have no experience in that spot and this video is very helpful... tho i find watching someone build it from scratch is easier and have a friend or someone to go to when have a question. but yeah the video is gr8! i will subscribe u
in my opinion, the best way for a beginners, is to take apart an old PC that they may have and reassemble it. this way in doesn't cost anything and you can get familiar with installing the CPU and how to use thermal compound, wiring a pc and knowing the different connectors. and the most important thing when building your own PC, troubleshooting problems and like bwana said, get to know GOOGLE it will be your best friend.
Someone like me, tricked into believing it would be a piece of cake, will get frustrated (I certainly did).
Took me about 10 work hours to get it done ~_~
Amazingly though, it worked out fine, and my computer didn't blow up!
However, I wasn't able to make use of my extra fans, and my aftermarket heatsink was so big, I couldn't fit the CPU fan (good thing that it's designed to run without a fan)....

1) Hold your breath.
2) Copy all of these steps.
3) Go to two other video.
4) Paste it in the comments.
If you can do all of this without breathing you're a good pot smoker

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
12gb ram
x2 geforce 9500gt
1k watts
700gb hdd
(GPU) I want to upgrade to either: 2 gtx 470s SLI or a single card, gtx 570...
I need advice, I'm a nub.

@4PsychoNitro get amd 6780 shapphire or 5770 shapphire if low on money
RGwhelan15 1 year ago
@4PsychoNitro For 2k, those 9500gt's are weak, and that PSU is way overkill.
Sell your current PSU and Graphics Cards, get a good corsair PSU, and get a single 570.
