Whitney Houston has 11. Janet Jackson, Rihanna and Stevie Wonder all have 10. Rihanna is only 23 and has already charted ten #1 singles. Janet and Stevie both started young, too, but were each in their early 30s before achieving that milestone.

I saw The Beatles' entire career. The verdict is in: GREATEST BAND, PERIOD. No other band is even remotely close. Musically, they were the heirs of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven. They stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these titans of music. Yes, their music was very different, but their genius was just as great as that of The Masters (as listed above). They towered over the 1960s like a colossus. They defined them ... and owned them. EVERY band that followed owes them much gratitude ... FoJ

Nice try, 20-somethings, but FAIL. As Elvis did in the 50's, the Beatles set the standard from 1962 ("Love Me Do") onward. All else is pale imitation. And the talent quotient today is at the lowest level ever, IMO, xcept for Taylor Swift.
