We lived in Sacramento for about 8 years and can't say I would recommend it. You're surrounded by ghetto just about everywhere you go. Try going for a relaxing day at Discovery Park at the beach and you have about 1000 morons in boats sitting out on the river blasting 50 cent. SUVs with spinner rims everywhere. Piss poor school system. The summers are miserably hot. Nothing to do. Oh and if it weren't for 150 year old levies the entire city would be a swamp from Oct - June. Glad we moved.

Im moving to Midtown in a month I cant wait, I just spent an awsome weekend there a few days ago. Its not the best place but anything is better than orange county.

I like Sacramento...one day, when I'm able to explore the area, I'd like to go one one of those horse and carriage rides through old town... maybe stop off and have an ice cream at the parlor, go to the capital, have lunch at the park.

Yea, that sounds like it would be fun. The downtown area is pretty cool with the river right next to it. We have a video on the historic downtown area also. If you catch them on the right day a lady stands outside and hands out coupons for free samples of ice cream. Thanks for the comment.
