Need for Speed Hot Pursuit - Autolog Explained

If EA servers are not fully supporting this game, it needs to be taken off the market and not sold at GameStop. I purchase games for their online capabilities, for the competitiveness of networking and battling online opponents. I understand EA meant for this game to head that direction, but if that feature is not functional, why are we customers paying full price for this game? I understand the nature of game dev.. I worked with EA as contractor in the past, so I have respect for you guys.

Another reason Autolog not connecting has an affect on game play is that you do not receive the bonus points for beating a Friend's recommendation (in the case of Autolog not connecting). Why would I care about doing my best on a race when I don't get all the available bounty points for it?

Also, the Xbox 360 steering wheel controller does not work well with this game at all. The programmers did not ensure that the motion and positioning of the steering and brakes/accelerator matched the gameplay. For example, barely pressing the brakes on the floor controller while barely steering results in hard braking and excessive oversteer. The steering is non-linear, making it useless. There needs to be an update with sensitivity and linearity curve options for all controllers!

This is such a great game still... I wanted to express how disappointed I am at not being able to utilize the Autolog. Every time I play this game, it will have connection issues to the Autolog, and once it starts, it will not correct itself. Also, if you bought this game used, you cannot use the expired online pass code that came with the game (because someone that sold their game to GameStop had already redeemed it). After being upset with not being able to do online play, Autolog happens..

UPDATE - I fixed my problem, is this anyone elses?

Start up the game without an internet connection. My issue was I was stuck at the game's fist attempt to connect to autolog, couldn't even get to the menu. Once at the menu, connect your internet, then tell the game to connect to autolog. Worked for me, finally figured it out after a few hours ><

Your autolog is complete shit. this week it just all the sudden out of no where started kicking me out of autolog after playing 2 games. I'll log on and play 2 games and then i get kicked out. Tested my internet and rebooted my ports and it kept happening. Put in MW2 and everything was running smoothly no lag. Put in NFS again and then boom i actually made it to 3 games this time before it kicked me out. Are you guys really getting paid for this? cause i could do a little better. im on the 360

if u r on win 7 then run cmd as admin and type netsh after that type set global encapability=disabled

it worked for me i hope it works for u

if u want to enable it again type the same insted of =disabled type =enable

I liked the old school NFS and I did like the Underground series but this game was necessary for the franchise to survive. This is what Need for Speed was in the first place, Exotic cars and cops, hell, it was in the FIRST game!

I think single player will be like it was in NFS: HP2. Hopefully, a career modes for Cops and Racers
