Alrite so I'm trying to decide whether to buy a DS Lite or DSi I don't mind the price difference, but the DSi lacking a GBA slot really bothers me. For example I have older pokemon games that I'd like to transfer pokemon from, is this possible without a GBA slot. I've also heard that DSi doesn't support R4 cards, is this also true? However, I really like the larger screen on the DSi and the design, new menu etc. I'd like some input on this, thanks.:)

I have a very strong opinion about this. LIsten, I think nintendo were doing just fine with the DS lite. And sure it would be cool to have cameras,music and internet BUT THATS THE PROBLEM!

nintendo really did say that they almost went bank rupt and that if they couldnt get wii to sell they were gonna shut down their game disvision.wii has it's work cut out for it with repairing it's 3rd party division losses.3rd party game sales make up a 3rd of all console's market so if 3rd party game sales are hurting so dose the console.

Actually thats only now-a-days that Nintendo releases their products late to America, back then we use to get them before Japan, Remeber the original DS, we got it November 21, 2004 and Japan got it a few days later on December 4, 2004, not many days ahead of us but still, but now we get everything like a year after Japan. It's because of all the crisis going on in the U.S. and around the world, so it takes longer for the U.S. to buy a product froma another country to seel here.

ok ok the Dsi is a new and obviously upgraded DS, it can take pictures on it's own yeah but imagine how much it's gunna cost? like a built in camera...a psp/psp 3000 you need to get it seperate but!! the games for it arent that great+the games break pretty easily if you are careless (like me :P) well the ds cards are like impossible to break (unless you are tring to) in my opinion the dsi is the better buy BUT!! thats my opinion...kanjocky obviously has a ps2 or a different sony system,
