  • There can't be any health-care reform while the corruption goes on un-checked.That would just be stupid.

  • Ok.. So did you not see this video or do you just not believe that this guy took the money and voted their way?

By the way, i live in a country with free universal healthcare and university education, and with greater personal liberties than you. (For example we dont get arrested for using twitter during political protests)

And we do it while having twice the US GDP per capita according to the IMF.

Guess we must be completely stalinist and evil then.

  • Thank you John Ensign for fighting against the socialist takeover of medicine. The people have spoken, but corrupt leader like Harry Reid continue to fight against the will of the people.

  • Are you serious?

  • Of course. Like most Americans, I have a healthy distrust of government, especially when the government is run by crooks like Nevada's Harry Reid.

  • How about distrust of the health insurance companies? Stephen Hemsley of United Health Care makes $464.000 per day by denying claims to their paying customers on a hourly basis. That's a whole lot of denials in order to rack up a obscene salary. Enlighten us with your Harry Reid is more of a crook than this asshole.

  • I never said he wasn't an asshole. He most assuredly is. In a free market, or in the case of health insurance, an unconstitutionally regulated market, people can choose which company to buy services from. Reid and his cohorts in the congress want very much to take away this choice. After all, he knows best. Regarding the corrupt and thieving ways of Senator Reid, read up on how he made over a million dollars selling Nevada land that he didn't own.

  • Oh, yeah... Free the Market! Follow the example of Somalia, the world's only "pure free market." Hooray for those who have, screw those who have not! If you're going to get sick, you might as well die.

  • Somalia is in a state of anarchy.

  • I have never protested against mandatory auto insurance, but I am against these laws. In my state, the law was passed with huge amounts of money from (you guessed it) the auto insurance companies.

  • Have you ever protested against MANDATORY CAR INSURANCE or MANDATORY TITLE INSURANCE? Isn't that unnecessary (and "unconstitutional") regulation of the market? Shouldn't we be allowed to go without car insurance also?

  • "The people have spoken..."

You're right about that part. The people spoke last November. We spoke loud and clear. We voted for a presidential candidate who ran with healthcare reform front and center in his campaign. We voted for Congressional representatives who said they favored healthcare reform.

Elected officials who oppose reform risk unemployment.

  • Everyone is in favor of free health care until they realize that somebody has to pay for it. That is why Obama is continuing to lie to us, telling us his new entitlement program won't cost a cent.
