I really love the book (I'm reading it for the 3th time), and even if the movie isn't like the book I still love the movie too. Yeah, it isn't like the book at all but so what? This movie is better then Twilight, and I think Twilight is pretty good.

You guys don't need to hate the movie only because it's not like the book, it's a good movie but I think the transformation was a little bit weird.. But it would actually be much better if they did like in the book.

Even after all this time, I very much wish the directors/screenwriters followed the book, instead of taking a select handful of characters and molding the entire story into their own. The novel is such an awesome story and the movie completely warped the meaning and metaphor behind its title. It should say "Inspired upon the novel by.." or "Based upon the characters by..." instead of "Based upon the novel".

Just so disappointing. This would have been a blockbuster if it followed the book.

Aiden was like chocolate for Vivian...sweet and comforting while it lasted. Gabriel on the other hand...Sweet blood after a long hunt. He's perfect for her.

All I can say is that they were good. Book and Movie. They didn't keep to the book... I told one of my friends that they were supposed to be in West Virginia and she said "So Florida is in Australia... Got it." I'm pretty sure someone tried to explain the book to the writer of the script... because they were nothing alike. I wish I had Aiden Teague's yellow VW... =*(

hmmmm.....slightly? it was almos nothing like the book. aside from the use of a FEW of the names, it was nothing like the book. it was a pretty good movie for those that have not read the book. but if you have you're sitting through the movie being like "what the hell, man?" but yeah. honestly it was a good movie, but the book was alot better and had a rather better plot but it wasn't "hollywood" enough for hollywood.
