We have improved our first team and if we get into europe we will improve more next year. @artydean2 People often make stupid comments in interviews though. Steven Gerrard said that Joe Cole is better than Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane said that Gerrard was better than Ronaldo and Messi in 2009.
Fact is, you don't know how good an academy is until a few years after it's produced some players, and Guardiola (who isn't involved in youth development) making a comment like he did doesn't really mean anything,
