Both Price and the Nighthawks use to come down to NC and play fairly often in the late 70s early 80s. I guess they toured up and down the east coast. I'm glad to see they are going strong today! It brings back fond memories.

"Can I Change My Mind " (actual name)was originally done by Tyrone Davis in 1969 or so. His biggest hit was "If I can turn back the Hands of Time". I've heard many people cover this tune and it just never seems to get old.

@rickinbutler It's not the first version, but you might enjoy it anyway: Check out Roy Buchanan's version of "Can I Change My Mind" (the real title of the song) from his album "Live Stock", which also has Billy Price on vocals. It's here on Youtube - it's not available with video of the concert, but the audio is there. Really nice version, and one of my favorite Roy Buchanan tunes.
If you're referring to Pavone and I believe you are, I'm with you. But then, Glenn has few peers when it comes to that style. Glenn is battling illness with all the aplomb that one would expect from an individual of high character like himself.
@mnaicck Yes , I am . Glenn have been Friends since I was 7 and he is a little younger than my self... He is still fighting and I know He will come thru it ..Since Glenn was my 1st best friend I am a bit bias , But he can pick any style. I remember Him listening to a Clapton and within a few mins, we were playing it...
I've spoken to him on a couple of occasions. I once talked his ear off but he bore that travail rather well ;) I was happy to see the Cyclones booked yesterday. Them playing is good news. No doubt, Glenn is a gem.
@mnaicck Good to hear They were Booked, I am still down here in DC and G has always been a little slow returning calls, even to his family....Hope He has been able to pick up some weight. Even just after his Oper last June. at the Festival his fingers still flowed over the neck like liquid... I tend to drop words because I think faster than I type, ha.. But Glenn would listen to a new Clapton or who ever and be able to play it note for note in a matter of mins. then He put his own touch on it
Best version so far! Very cool!
