  • Finally I found some useful video how to replace just the glass part!

  • have anyone here tried filling the gap where the rubber seal is supposed to be(between the chrome bezel and the digitizer) with silicone or similar substances?

Would like to hear any experiences people have had trying it on their iPhone and how it worked. Thanks : )

  • Thank you for the video. My son and I fixed his 3gs and then got a blank screen; he thought I didn't have the #3 cable in far enough, but #1 had apparently popped off so it was the LCD connection. Finally got it all together and working for $10 and a little time. :-)

  • feel free to use a hair dryer or soething similar if you cant get your hands on a heater like that :) just a tip ;) its what i did :P

  • where did u get the tape

  • Great Vid mate, helped loads!!

  • Done! thanks

  • woukd u be able to repair mine if i shipped it to you?

  • can i put a 3g screen in a 3gs?

  • @AdventureSoup No :) I've personally tried that. The internal connector is completely different. Therefore it won't fit

  • Hi, can I just replace the rubber that's outside the screen? Because I tried cleaning some crud that stuck between the glass and the rubber with a thin needle but ended rubbing the top of the rubber and cut it, now I think that stuff is getting into it from that opening because I can see, unless it was already and I'm just barely realizing it cause I'm paying so much attention to it.

  • For the heat gun, what heat level does it need to be on and what temperature ? Is it possible to separate the glass & digitizer if only 1 is broken ? Thanks. :)

  • that was easy and helpful, thank you mate!

  • Also do you have to be licensed to fix your iphone? what about warranties voiding?

  • Have you tried rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to dissolve the adhesive holding the mid frame? heard that the heat gun can be dangerous for the home flex button if over heated. so that was an alternative to the gun. just curious if you've tried this method and if it works better? or safer or easier. lol you see where im getting at.

  • Is removing the mid frame a pretty hard process?

  • @beanbeanbags No its pretty easy

  • Hi, can I use my creditcard to separate the LCD?

  • Can I use a blow dryer to heat my digitizer in order to remove the fram?

  • @IHeartMacsH8r5 Yes but it will take a little longer to heat up
