this is one of the most productive ideas i have seen in a long time... more universities should adapt to this type of living arrangement for students as they really don't need that much room to move/live and well what can i say.. it would be good, warm and allow students to live comfortably and not homeless or cold as i understand that university can be quite harsh to a student's budget.
@jawbraeka And when your done in university , they can move your trashed out dorm to the trailer trash park where you will live till you find a well paying job, or just any job that pays enough to escape.
Paranoid crack lol needs some more lighting if your going to live there. lol Yeah I've been looking into recycled material things to live in even considered the tiny house. lol So cool the stuff people come up with these day's.
Awesome idea! Imagine, being able to move by simple moving your space. No packing per se'.
Move to the country or, as the computer generated vid. shows a low-rise or even high-rise. And you could move with in a structure. From say the second floor, west side to top floor, south side. Need more space? get another container. No need to buy and sell real estate or worry about the housing market.
Do some research before typing something as stupid as you did, containers are a very good option for architecture and construction, the costs are cheap, they can be mixed in so many ways, again read before speak.
I would like your permission, as the copyright holder, to promote four clips of your video,' Container Housing - thinkbelt' on my site. I think it should be seen by as wide an audience as possible. If you are not happy about this I will immediately delete each copy from YouTube and I will not show it anywhere. I am in the process of uploading all four clips as demos. If you do give your permission I will add soundtracks and replace the uploaded copies.
lol Somebody spent way too much time on this. And did not say a word or put up any text giving any contact info.

I love it! the only thing is that have you thought about the perfect storm. Would it be secure as a normal wooden home if a storm its it.

@Stynko84 I think Cedric Price's designs included a crane system to put containers on the higher levels.
I actually made this map to show how pointless (and ugly) the whole idea seemed to me.

I'd never really considered the CAD possiblilities of first-person shooters. Weird, but nicely done.

Reminds me off the old Thunderbirds anamation kids shows from the 70`s where one of the rescue vehicles used a modular system much like this.

yeah...we should all live in shipping crates...it would just make so much more sense...
and if you wanted to move- you could just put your house on a train
