The typhoon is at least as good as the rafale,the only reason for the rafale existing at all is the fact that the french who were original partners in the typhoon programme pulled out early and went on to develop it alone. i think you will find that the typhoon would be an even match in a dog fight with a rafale.
I remember seeing this in 2009, The air tatoo has to be one of the best shows in the world by far (Even if the weather wasnt that nice on that particular day) - The only thing that you dont get from watching this video is the sheer loudness of the eurofighter, at takeoff its absolutly deafining !!! - but great all the same ha ha
Impressive - I last saw the Typoon at Southend Airshow (IIRC it's first public appearance at an Airshow) - I was one of hundreds who left their meals and ran out of the restaurants to watch the display. Those afterburners are something else!

LOL, the Typhoon's performance figures are way more than that of the Rafael, in fact iv'e seen both aircraft perform and the Typhoon is obviously in a different league to the Rafael, its the reason the French can't sell them, because aircraft like the F-35, Typhoon, and even the F-15 are better.
In fact look up how the Rafael performed in Red Flag, even the Tornado's put up a better performance.
The only reason they got the Douglas Bader Trophy is becuase the Typhoon's F-18's etc etc, have all won it before, you cant just keep dishing out trophy's to the same people, you got to let the French have something;)

You make it sound as if ATLC is a competition ? ATLC is not a competition, and in a DACT exercise the norm is for one side to play 'red air' simulating potential adversaries like Su-27 or MiG-29. If the Rafale side bettered the Typhoon side 7:1 then I don't think it takes a genius to work out who was playing red air on that occasion. ;)
Plus in recent competitions in Singapore for their next Gen fighter the Typhoon wiped the floor with F-16, Rafale,and F-15SQ, but Singapore chose the F-15 because it could be built quicker because BAE are currently meeting the demands of the RSAF, meanwhile the French are trying to sell their pig of a fighter to Brasil, to be honest, you need that deal:)

Sorry but the F-15 did not 'out show'' the Typhoon in the Singapore sales, i was there, and i was part of that deal, As i explained before the F-15 was cheaper and could be delivered faster which is why they got the contract, frankly the Typhoon wipes the floor with the now dated F-15, especially in close range, Typhoons from Conningsby are always counting wins against F-15's from Lakenheath, USAF pilots themselves admit that, but i am agreed the F-22 is the best of the rest.

Did you hear about the Indian Air Force advising that they had disqualified the Rafale from there ''fighter refresh'' program because it didn't meet the minimum performance requirments for the Competition, even the Gripen got through to the next round.
Plus, you cant compare aircraft by what you think at an Airshow, iv'e seen the Typhoon taken to its limit in testing, and to be honest, when its being displayed at air shows, the pilot's are only toying with them, not showing off their true performance potential.

thats because Raptor is a 5th Gen combat Aircraft as compared to 4.5gen Combat aircraft the typhoon, to compare them is like comparing champagne to a dog shit!
The Raptor is an air supremacy fighter set to replace F-15's, not exactly comparable. Anyway, one US airman flew both and said they were very close, but both had different requirements. Better comparison would probably be the F-16 and F-18.
i can't remember the full name of it. But i know it's a small Sony Handheld Cam Corder i got back in 2003. The main reason to why the quality is good is because of the slightly expensive lens that came with it. Still does the job well as proven :)

The RAF Typhoon is way better, far more maneuverable than that anvil the raptor, all I've seen it do is that climb and level off.

You make it sound as if ATLC is a competition ? ATLC is not a competition, and in a DACT exercise the norm is for one side to play 'red air' simulating potential adversaries like Su-27 or MiG-29. If the Rafale side bettered the Typhoon side 7:1 then I don't think it takes a genius to work out who was playing red air on that occasion. ;)

Plus in recent competitions in Singapore for their next Gen fighter the Typhoon wiped the floor with F-16, Rafale,and F-15SQ, but Singapore chose the F-15 because it could be built quicker because BAE are currently meeting the demands of the RSAF, meanwhile the French are trying to sell their pig of a fighter to Brasil, to be honest, you need that deal:)

Sorry but the F-15 did not 'out show'' the Typhoon in the Singapore sales, i was there, and i was part of that deal, As i explained before the F-15 was cheaper and could be delivered faster which is why they got the contract, frankly the Typhoon wipes the floor with the now dated F-15, especially in close range, Typhoons from Conningsby are always counting wins against F-15's from Lakenheath, USAF pilots themselves admit that, but i am agreed the F-22 is the best of the rest.

Well, hopefully the way the Argentine's are going the RAF Typhoon's might see a bit of action yet, From what i know the Typhoons didnt fly Red Flag in 08, just a couple of GR4's, the rest were USAF, some Rafale's from the French (which had horrific maintanence issues) and the Indain air force debut, but no MiG-35's, they had only just gone into service in 08.

Apart from the fact that there is a squadron based in the Falklands, And talking of Aircraft Carriers, perhaps you should do some research into the QE Class Aircraft carriers getting built for the RN, the F-35 is a red herring, its not even as stealthy as first thought, therefore it is not much better, the F-35 is no F-22 like people think, Air combat wise its not much better than a legacy fighter. plus the RN are getting the Astute class subs, THE most advanced subs in the World.

In saw the QE class first its smaller then the old US Midway class built in WW2 second no catapults or arresting gear just another half ass jump jet carrier, third its not nuclear powered . Modern aircraft carrier needs to be nuclear powered due to all the electronics that are on it today starting with electro magnetic catapults, dynamic armor.Best attack sub is Virginia class by far. Lets use little common sense, 62 Burke class dstroyers have been built only 6 Type45 will be built. Burke class 90 cell VLMS carrying tomahawk and harpoon cruise missiles, 2/ 5 inch guns, Type 45 only 48 cell Sylver VLMS which is poor subsitute to tomahawk and 1/ 4 inch deck gun, Type 45 can never do battle against another ship and it cost 2X the price of Burke Class NO wonder British Press is in up roar You could have purchase 12 Burke Class destroyers and have better all around combat ship .

If you actually did the maths for buying the Burke class subs, you would realise that we wouldnt get them anywere near as cheap as the USN got them for, its not like buyiong a car, there isnt one list price, plus buying the Burke would mean sending jobs to America, when it makes more sense to keep jobs at home, like with the Astute, and there we ended up building the most capable most advanced and technically sound sub on the face of the planet. the Burke's range is a bit pathetic though.

your an awesome camcorder and go to riat next year however,try getting a 40x or plus optical zoom camcorder it really does make a difference when zooming out , if you use digi zoom that takes away the hd quality

The Raptor is an air supremacy fighter set to replace F-15's, not exactly comparable. Anyway, one US airman flew both and said they were very close, but both had different requirements. Better comparison would probably be the F-16 and F-18.

i can't remember the full name of it. But i know it's a small Sony Handheld Cam Corder i got back in 2003. The main reason to why the quality is good is because of the slightly expensive lens that came with it. Still does the job well as proven :)
