@mamamario64ds I'm pretty sure there's a button on the Unova Pokedex screen that switches to it (can't remember since I haven't played Pokemon for ages). To find out where any Pokemon is, check their article on Bulbapedia, in the Locations section.

@XxkillandforgetXx You can't catch them all in the 5th generation... I traded at least half of the Pokemon required for the Pokedex from 4th-gen games. It didn't take long, as shown by the upload date of the video (and Australia got the games later than other countries).

@DrDimentio Wow give you props on 5 star Black Trainer card in Platinum Version, because it's hard to get all 5 different color prints at the Battle Frontier (Even with EV Trained Pokemon in your team). I had all 493 Pokemon in Platinum Version as well in Soul Silver Version in the PC in Pokedex order but traded a lot of them to Black Version just to get more data,I could of get all the data now, but I didn't wanted to leave both games empty with Pokemon, so I transfer a lot of third stage PKMN.

@Pepsimaximo1 I had completed the National Pokedex in Platinum (493), so a lot of them I just traded to White using the Poke Transfer Machine. You can't get all the Pokemon, especially legendaries and starters, unless you have the 4th-generation games they appeared in - I had Pearl, Platinum and HeartGold, and a friend with Diamond and Emerald. You'll need Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald for the Regi trio, unless you got the event Regigigas in Platinum.

@Pepsimaximo1 Completing the main story unlocks new areas of Unova, and those areas contain many Pokemon from other regions. The areas you could already access don't have any changes in the wild Pokemon there, except if there's a daily swarm.

@xAmenasax That's right, in Black and White, shinies are properly acknowledged both in the Pokedex and by random characters. In the Dex you can view the shiny forms next to normal forms, and choose which one to display in the list of Pokemon. Much better than the Pokedex was in previous games!

Yeah, as far as I can tell, here in Canada we never got Arceus. And I think the only way to get Deoxys here is through the new Ranger game, and I'm not about to buy a new game just for one pokemon (PLUS I think you need friends to do that mission)

@twidledumb Not long unless you count the extra Pokemon catching I had to do in Platinum and HeartGold, as well as breeding there so I'd still have access to certain Pokemon back in those games. The actual Poke Transfer stuff took less than 2 hours in total, it's much quicker than Pal Park was.
