My parents are in the middle of a divorce right now. My husband and I are about to have our first child, and it feels like we're not getting the sort of support we need emotionally... I can't tell you how sick I am of hearing the term "you're an adult, buck up" or, "you're an adult now, so you should know about all the dirty laundry". I don't want to hear it. I just want my parents, wether their together or apart...
I totally understand this. I am going through the same thing and Im a 22 year old college student. But we must remember that this isnt about us and if this brinf peace for all we must be strong
@TheSilverphoenix88@beautifulmormon No, it's "not about us", per say. However,Adult Children of Divorce (ACODs) or College students with divorcing parents too often are assumed that because they are adults, they can handle it. Parents can "forget" that regardless of age, ACODs are STILL their children.I made this video because the demographic(18+ when parents divorced)is very much overlooked.I also recently made a website and facebook support group for ACODs. Links are in the description.
