@lmj22 I watched the making of Celtic Woman: A New Journey DVD. First they recorded the songs and images (various camera directions) during dress rehearsal. On the night they recorded some more especially with the actual audience and the sound of clapping. Then they were mixed and edited to form a perfect DVD recording. No doubt that the Celtic Woman did performed live (as oppose to lip syncing) that night. I think it's the same with this video.

This is the reason why so many 'Great' Artists are raking it in, without actually having to perform. It disturbs me that so many fans are fooled by this betrayal of their trust.

I think it is a scandal and a betray of public trust to see these two just miming to playback like this, and to be honest, Cliff isn't even trying to hide the fact either. It is the worst lip-sync I have ever seen. Like watching a foreign film dubbed into English!

Cliff is a much better singer for this song. Hemlut is a fairly good singer, their version of Danny Boy is the best of all. But too me, Helmut is just nowhere near the top singers of the songs he is singing. Sorry, but I have to say that listening to Helmut singing O Sole Mio is like a joke to me.
The first time I heard Cliff and Helmut sing this duet, it moved me to tears, it was so beautifully sung and arranged. Their voices complement each other's perfectly. Thank you for sharing.

If i use my home computer it looks like they are singing live.
If i use my portable it looks like they are using playback.
Its a mooth point for me. the importaint is the quality OF the song. Not if its live or not.

No doubt Cliff is a MUCH better singer then Helmut.
The reason Helmut made it so big is not because af his singing talent, but his talent for performing, and giving the people a fantastic show.
