well no... they are military and based in a woodland area not to mention that "cammo" is part of the RAF uniform.

well i for one find it really rediculous that first of all, raf have cammo gear (they are air force after all), that those rear area "troops" need to wear cammo. i understand that the military just have cammo as a standard, but i just find it weird

You'll find plenty of front line troops, airmen, sailors and Marines in Middle east. But, would it really be ideal on an exercise to wear your RAF working dress light blue shirt, with shiny belt and beret....I think not.

well pooman, the RAF have the regiment, frontline SOLDIERS... I highly doubt like AlHillATC said " working dress light blue shirt, with shiny belt and beret" would be suitable to wear in combat situations...

All those as you call "troops" will have to go on guard at some point they wont want to stand in full on blues...

eer, its hardly suitable to be walking around in a COMBAT situation striking out in dark blue uniform asshole. Are you forgetting that these people actually do work on the front line with active troops, say if a radar comes down at an FOB, they need to fix it. Plus if they are at a covert lay up point monitoring enemy radio then they dont need to be seen... If they need to go on the run... etc etc thicko
