I was at the memorial two times. The first time there were flowers and the second time there were not. It all depends on whether or not the guy that decorates it is there that day.

I was there the other day on the 70th aniversary of his death which is also his birthday I was told which I ws unaware of until recently....Another amazing link which I never made before is: MY BIRTHDAY IS ON EXACTLY THE SAME DAY. 9TH OCTOBER!

I had to have a picture taken of myself sat cross-legged on the 'Imagine' memorial on this special and most significant day...Its gonna be my facebook profile from now on I'm sure!!

Death is always a loss for someone. It is so sad that John just missed it. His songs are full of his search for peace, love, brotherhood...and yet he rejected it. It was right in front of him all the time. Life, peace and love for others are only found in Jesus Christ. All of the words that John sang, Jesus spoke 2,000 years ago. You can not reject love and sing about it. You can not reject truth and sing about it. If you imagine life without Christ that is what you will get life without HIM.

I went to see where he lived when my daughter and I were there last year but somehow forgot to go see the Imagine Circle :( Not this time...I will not forget. What I find most fascinating about this mosaic is that everyone respects it. No one steps on it, runs on it or rides their bikes over it. I had gone to Strawberry Fields in October of 2005, John's 65th birthday and it was mobbed! I couldn't get close to the mosaic at all because of all the people, press and news cameras. If you go on an off day, you can see it without the crowds.

I was among the hundreds who attended Strawberry Fields on the 25th anniversary of John's death. I could not go even close to the mosaic because of the mob of people and news cameras. The most interesting thing I saw was that a tourist group from Germany was standing around the mosaic while their guide was explaining, in German, what the mosaic meant. Great video.

Very nice! I visited Strawberry Fields for the first time earlier this year. Seeing the memorial was just like in your video. Surrounded by a bunch of admirers and covered with flowers, pictures, etc. Shows how much he ment to people and that his legend will live on.
