I beat every Mortal Kombat about 50 times, but honestly, this game made me want to jump off a cliff.

This game was for hardcore players , newbies to the MK series would have no way to enjoy this game

I remember when I got this game along Diddy Kong Racing for my N64 back in 1997.

I thought it was pretty good, a very different take of MK and one that I personally enjoyed. It had its share of frustrating moments, like platform jumping, but it was fun.

The whole idea of exploring the MK backstories was the most appealing thing, specially Sub Zero and Scorpion's rivalry.

I think they should make a Mortal Kombat reboot rated r version To be prequelized Sub-Zero to be a Ultimate anti hero in this movie.

I liked this game when it came out....it had the right MK feel to it......I also think it has a great formula as the next MK movie...it needs to be prequelised to save the franchise....another flop will kill the whole ethos forever. Sub-Zero is the ultimate anti hero, people love that

Yeah i think DC was a bit of a fail too awsome fighting engine but MK doesnt go with DC it srta killed it.I meen the othe half of players to select could have been some more of the orginal mk fighters that would have been much better

that was it. the DC poofters were like "no,you can't have blood. no,you can't have fatalaties,no you can't have much violence. no,you can't have anything mortal kombat is known for"

the fighting and graphics were awesome,but DC kept threatening to pull out of the project,because blood and gore would scare the typical DC nerd fans.and,DC didn't want their precious gay superheroes getting to hurt.

Yea that sucks that's why I wish MK would have faced off against Marvel and grabed up the gameplay from Marvel Nemesis or something. Better yet MK vs Killer Instinct would have been sweet.

This game is awesome in the design. If you notice especially in 2:50 you can see that they combined 2D graphics with 3D. That's what I like except from the others :)

Its easy to forget Liu Kang's role as the lead character in the MK series since the popularity of other fighters kinda overshadows him at times.

It's interesting how Sub-Zero ended up stealing the show from the original MK protagonist, Liu Kang. I guess this game is an acknowledgment of that fact, even though it does seem kind of a stretch to use an anti-hero as a hero for an entire adventure game.

The original idea was to do spin-offs for other characters too, but was scraped after this and special forces didnt sold very well

I hated having to hold UP to jump, if they had made it a buton press instead, this game would have played Much better, Id make it control like Castlevania.
