That's why the piano was built to have a more widr range of volume and expression. His playing has very nice emotion , do you know it's hard to put emotion in playing the harpsichord.
Nice sound of the instrument and the music and a pleasure to listen to. This is NOT rubato but expressive element to the otherwise monotonous music. It is a good thing.
very well done. on a very beautifull instrument.
the ritenuto in the last measure is a shame though.
(same holds for his other performances: among the best on YouTube, except for the double ritenuto endings)

a bit too much rubato, i think bach should have a stricter beat. but apart from that, wonderful!

It's a Yves Beaupré harpsichord after Hemsch and Taskin(Montreal 1998)
