Nevertheless, what a great angle that culminated with the legdrop heard round the world at Bash of the Beech '96. NWO was badass.

WCW was giving stars like Konnan championships before Hall and Nash arrived. Once they arrived, ONLY Sting and ex-WWF stars got ant titles at all! Any belt that an ex-WWF clown didn't set claim to was made a joke of. And don't call me kid.

Listening to the crowd makes you realize just how poorly WCW used Heenan. "Weasel" chants start up all throughout the segment, even amidst lots of action... and yet, WCW didn't want Heenan to be the same hilarious, weasle-esque heel commentator he was with WWF. They watered him down to the point where he never cracked a joke.
Nevertheless, what a great angle that culminated with the legdrop heard round the world at Bash of the Beech '96. NWO was badass.
Boy Meets World sucks.

WCW Monday Nitro was awesome! In the early part of 1996, Eric Bischoff stated that WCW was committed to bringing you the greatest, most talented, and young Wrestlers on the planet, which is exactly what they were doing before Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Hiring those two was a big mistake. 'The Kliq' were politicians, not wrestlers. WCW would have been smart to leave those two in the WWF. They simply did not need them. They were the WWF's problem...let them deal with it. .

the funny thing is that the wcw at the time was really on a roll with its storylines and wrestlers, and then they added this. That's what I remember at the time, is that this was just the icing on the cake.
