  • A progress report for the first undergraduate environmental physics research project on campus, started in summer of 2009. We put together the first small machine shop on campus and started to make our own Stirling motor from raw stock. We used a design purchased from the student's late grandfather and continued working on the project spring of 2010. The project remains unfinished, however all principal parts for the motor were completed, and a large Fresnel lens has been purchased.
