07 wrx impreza nitrous intercooler sprayer

Its about 300 bucks but the install can be expensive. I have a front mount intercooler now and i changed it around some. Ill get a new vid up sooner or later.

hey it would be nice to see intercoolers built with mini inlet/outlet piping running through the core so u can chill it quicker!! and the coldness will last longer

my mates got a water setup on his car. the charged intercooler sits in a water tank to cool the intake. then you have a rad and water pump setup to cool the water tank. it works really well as water is better at transfering heat than just air..

Which kind of gas do you put in your bottle i tried Nitrous oxide this weekend but i think the guy who sell it to me is mixing it with other gas to be injected in the motor and it was not close to freeze my intercooler... what should i use ? Also will it keep this temperature or do i have to put the bottle in the freezer ?? thanks !!

@BluNtHeaD05 When you run a cooler on your intercooler it doesn't inject anything into the motor. It sprays that oxide all over the intercooler and super cools it extremely fast!! the colder the air the more power you can make and help prevent knocking. If you have a nitrous bottle for your cooler then i would suggest you you nitrious! Trust me nitrious is plenty cold enough to do the job!

Cooling the charge air isnt going to give that much of an increase. Reducing the temperature will help a bit, but certianly wouldnt give the claimed 45hp.. Youd be better off injecting that inside the intake to reach thoese claimed gains. Thats a very expensive intercooler sprayer :P just rerout your washer bottle if your povo, and if not you can get a system from STi.

yes you feel a nice kick of power i now have mine set up with a switch that lets it kick on at full throttle so it helps also if u freeze it b4 a drag run ive seen a boost in power

Nitrous Oxide is actually in general terms not harmful to the human body..

It can hurt the human body, but displacing oxygen in the body if you inhale large quantities.

Well it is used for anesthetics lol

but its a different thing to whats used in cars

since nitrous oxide as an anesthetic is non flammable, where as in cars, it has to have a reaction, the explosion which gives that extra boost

nitrous doesnt combust, it first disintegrates into nitrogen and oxygen gas in the intermediate step, and the extra oxygen allows much more fuel to be burned, while the nitrogen acts as a buffer. the n2o also cools intake air and atomized fuel...

Im sorry, but nitrous oxide itself is not flammable. The reason nitrous oxide is used in cars is for two reasons. The second (and less known) is the intercooler spray. Nitrous oxide is extremely cold when compressed. Thus cooling the intercooler. The first and more popular use for nitrous oxide is... yes injecting into the engine. HOWEVER... it is still not flammable itself. What makes it special is that it has approximately 2.5 times the oxygen per volume of air than our present atmosphere.

And we all know that our engines need approximately 13-14 parts of air for every part of fuel (depending on what you're running). What nitrous oxide allows is more air being injected into the engine. Allowing for a bigger explosion and power. However, tuning is still necessary for it to use its potential. If we have too much air, then the fuel ratio will be off, and the extra air will be useless. Ideally more fuel would need to be injected in the correct ratio to the nitrous
