@Dimitri0809 Well, touches are how épées earn a point, but sabres are a slicing sword. Trust me, I fence sabre. And if you thought épées just do little tiny pokes, think again. My friend's arms are always covered in bruises from her épée bouts.
This is why the sport of fencing is much more safer there is no hard impact to the head in fencing it's aimed on a sword just touching your oponent and you get a point simple as that.
A sport is a just a something that is played similar to a game and is just something that as a point to it. Like in fencing where 2 people and the aim for those 2 people is to make their sword touch their oponent.
If there is a fencing response, the athlete should be kept out of play for a week or two. Two concussions in a short period of time can lead to severe brain edema (swelling) and death.
Of course, they should also have immediate medical care if they display this response.
@rini6 I know your comment is a year old, and I'm not sure if this is exactly relevant. But I figured you may find this interesting. In professional mixed martial arts, if a fighter is knocked out, they are actually suspended by the athletic commision for 90 days.

No doubt the Tebow hit was one of these...wow. So, how are you supposed to deal with the aftermath of this type of brain scrambling moment?

I think in the future people will look back and decide that you're a homosexual.
