اسی لئے تو جو لکھا تپاکِ جاں سے لکھا

جبیں پہ لوچ کماں کا، زبان تیر کی ہے

میں کٹ گروں کہ سلامت رہوں ، یقیں ہے مجھے

کہ یہ حصارِ ستم کوئی تو گرائے گا

تمام عمر کی ایذا نصیبیوں کی قسم

میرے قلم کا سفر رائیگاں نہ جائے گا

Person giving praise is likely Kunwer Mohinder Singh Bedi who was also present in same mushaira and who has a similar deep voice. Great poem by Faraz against oppression of Zia. Unfortutanately that opression continued in form of Mussharaf. May we not see any more dictators

he has given a great grief to all of us.may GOD rest his soul in peace.I Met Last time him in front of supreme court on sep,29.07 when he also joined the protest against Musharraf candidacy for president.he was unable to control his tears by the tear gas fired by police at protesters .i felt for him and now he has departed.what a legend he was.
