When Gautama was born Nepal was more then 2000 years away from existing, The hindu clan called Sakyas created that area as a Kingdom, they were Kashatryias and their prince was born Siddharta Gautama. Buddha was born in a Hindu kingdom to a hindu family as a hindu prince. The Kingdom was abandoned later and the mountain people from the north settled instead. The race living in Nepal today descendants from Tibet immigrants long ago after the Hindus left.
