  • Martha Quinn is HOT!!!

  • lmao lmao lmao wow fail

  • OMG the last 30 seconds of this had me laughing like a loon! Shared. Uprated. Favorited. OMG!

  • I didn't know the Folksmen dated back this far, I thought they were first seen in A Mighty Wind. Cool!

  • the bassplayer does the voice og mr.burn´s on the simpson´s...

  • @midnightfury661 No I'm not joking, I wasn't sure cause I don't know too much about Tap, it's cool that they do though.

  • Doesn't matter how many times I watch, I still find stuff to laugh at. The stage 'entrance' there is particularly brilliant :D

  • This is probably a stupid question but since this seems to be live, are they actually playing their own instruments?

  • WOAH WAIT A MINUTE

this has got to be something different then my version, cuz Bob Geldof introduces them, and Robin Williams was never in the version i got....guess i need to watch more of this now

  • robin williams ftw

  • Robin Williams floating in the pool was too funny.

  • it does go up to eleven

  • You know, if there was a real band like this, they would have as huge a fan base as any band going around these days !

  • @1973mazdarx4coupe its called "kiss"

  • SPINAL TAP RULE!

  • best band ever. this is eleven.

  • hey man thanks.. i didnt know there was a second movie

    great stuff

    x

  • Whatever happened to Martha Quinn?

  • this isn't the real movie, is it?

got dammit, i wanted to see the real one

  • Has anyone seen the story of Anvil? A real life Spinal Tap!

    Brute persistence is right!

  • Some people here don't even know that they are a parody... lol!

    Awesome!

  • @nirvanafreak20 oh god... i'll say just this: How much more stupid can you be? and the answer is: none... none more stupid...

  • @gerby90 the best answer ive ever herd to a douchbag

  • @gerby90 stfu homo

  • @nirvanafreak20

I find it ironic that someone with the name 'nirvanafreak' is saying that ST is the worst ever! Have you even seen the movie dude? It's a parody man!!!

  • @nirvanafreak20 that's because you're an idiot!

  • LOL at Robin Williams

  • That's Principal Skinner doing the voiceover at the start!

  • Martha Quinn is so hot. She's still a cutie.

  • "So you're basically saying that we're free to go..." (ROFL!!!)

  • Man I am still in love with Martha Quinn. Personally they should have had let Lenny and the Squitones open the show.

  • @GonzoGuyy Martha Quinn was part of MTV when it still maintained a shred of dignity.

  • Fuck everyone ... Spinal Tap are the gods of life

  • martha quinn keeps introducing herself

  • @kingrunnisfilms Yes. It's part of the gag.

  • She says, "Hi, I'm Martha Quinn" twice.

  • Sometimes I think Robin WIlliams is NOT funny...this is NOT one of those times!

  • Sweet foggy dew of da Tap !

  • They should have let the Folksmen go on!

  • if spinal tap the movie (the first one) if i rate that movie 11 out of 10 (obviously) seriously what would you give this sequel out of 10, as im unsure to watch or not, please be honest

  • I would say a 7 or 8. This movie is more like a concert with short clips of how/what the members are doing now that times have changed. They're 2 different kinds of movies.

  • It's worth seeing. That should be enough.

  • I'd rate it 11 because it's one more than 10!

  • Holy Shit! haha. Robin Williams dies at the end...hahahahlol!

  • Great Post! Thanks!

  • THANKS!!!!!!

  • Brute persistence lol

  • Intravenous de Milo, LOL!!!!!

  • laughing my fuckign arse off here

    I LOVE SPINAL TAP.

  • wooo michael mckean is my uncle

  • serious?

  • yeah dude... he called my parents last week and invited us to go to unwigged and unplugged in seattle tomorrow with backstage passes.

  • Did Martha Quin ever get over her case of nasty syphilis?

  • werent the folksmen from "the mighty wind" to.

  • obviously.

  • I love the comical entrance. The guy has to stand on a case to sing. haha

  • did, uh, did Robin Williams just kill himself?

  • Ain't that amazing? What a documentary.

  • I love Spinal Tap!!!

  • "Hi, I'm Martha Quinn! blah blah. Hi, I'm Martha Quinn! blah blah. Hi, I'm Martha Quinn!"

    Someone should have shot her!

  • ahmen!

She probably doesn't even know who the fuck they are!

  • The Folksmen were Spinal Tap dressed up like geezers.

  • "the kings of rock, there is none higher":-)

  • that's what beavis and butthead said about Aerosmith, poser!

  • Hah:-P You're clearly very familiar with classic Run DMC lyrics:-P

  • I'm so glad someone decided to spread this around.

I found it at a convention and was thrilled when I found out it was real. I made a DVD, but I have yet to copy it.

  • ha ha 2:42

  • Is this the same guys from the movie in 1984? They haven't aged that much cause they we're alredy old?

  • Yeah all the same guys except the keyboard-guy

  • WOW, they took a piece of 'A Mighty Wind'. THey are so funny!!!

  • No, their group "The Folksmen" became the basis for the film "A Mighty Wind."

  • "a little transistor radio........nothing was the same after that"

    hahahahahahahaha

Best Robin Williams skit i've seen

  • Oh they are flying around like a bunch of flipping fairies.

  • Nigel is soooooooooooo hot!!!!! omg

  • Folksmen blew Tap off the stage that night...I was there.....Jeff Beck was in the audience and when Tap came on he was screaming that Nigel rips him off

  • Ha, the blew themselfes of stage, pretty funny.

  • They had "Blood on the Coal" almost 15 years before "A Mighty Wind". Genius.

  • HAL9000: "Air guitar." "Must consult and enlist programmer."

  • Just goes to show the flexability of great musicanship from the guys. All tooo professional.

"Tonight im gonna rock you" is a great pumping opening number, they rock out great.Although they changed a few "Naughty Lyrics"

I wish i had of caught the japan tour 1981/82,lol!!!

or i wish they would tour Australia

  • that's Athelete Cured by The Fall, exact same intro...!!

  • What's everyone all huffy about...they write their own songs, play their own instruments, they did a great movie, and did a come back special also don't forget, the kicked it pretty hard at live earth. They're fucking funny and they seem real enough to me...fictional or whatever way you want to look at it!!!

  • of course they are a real band, even if they are a parody. they all play their instruments, sing and write their own. thats 'real-er' than say, milli vanili.

  • thats cuz he is principle skinner! also the radio dj in waynes world

  • Oh man The Folksmen, thats ace

  • is spinal tap a real band?

  • They toured under that name for real, and have also released a couple of real albums.

  • No, they area a parody. It's the same guys that do "a mighty wind", "waiting for guffman" and at least one other movie (can't remember) All of them were on SNL at one point. Christopher Guest (Nigel) played the 6 fingered man in "the princess bride" also

  • best in show and for your consideration, too

  • nah man, their not a band at all, well the werent neway, they hav done concerts since they made the movie

  • They're a band and a fucking godly one at that, die in a fire!

  • lol fuck off buddy, harry shearer and co made a film, a spoof film, about a band, a spoof band, called spinal tap..n yes they rock but they are not a real band at the end of the day, their FICTIONAL..well for the most part anyways

  • So, in your opinion the Blues Brothers aren't a real band either "at the end of the day"?

  • Heh... Tap's opening act is The Folksmen, who later appeared in A Mighty Wind, and are played by Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer. So essentially they opening act and the main event are the same people in different costumes.

  • Ace! Thanks for uploading this. Lost my old VHS

  • MARTHA QUINN>>>> HOLY _________!

  • a pinch of evil.. lol

  • Amazing...

  • HAHA! The narration at the start is by Harry Shearer (Derek Smalls). It sounds like Principal Skinner from the simpsons.

  • Harry Shearer is indeed a regular voice on the Simpsons.

  • well, Harry Shearer plays Kent Brockman on the simpsons.

  • doesn't sound like him, is him :D

  • I didn't know the folksmen existed untill "a mighty wind"

  • Spinal Tap rules all!

  • The first Tap song was called "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight" from Smell the Glove.

  • What's the first song that Tap play called? I've heard it before and I want to get it, its excellent.

  • Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight

  • Thanks man

  • the folksmen actually got booed off the stage at a Spinal Tap concert...they guys had to run off and come back as spinal tap, and the crowd had no idea it was the same band

  • Seriously!? AMAZING

  • folksmen + spinal tap....wow haha

  • Hilarious!

  • They went even further than that, I believe. I think they were an SNL skit briefly.

  • They were around waaaay back when Spinal Tap was first created. They were used as the fake "Warm-up" opening band for The Tap's live concerts.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THESE!!!!

Also good to know the origins of the Folksmen, I didn't know they went that far back. =)
