The difference between scientology and other religions is that the founder of scientology didn't even believe it. Its true that people are getting dumber , compared to the advances made in technology ,, the general population are not much smarter than they were 30 years ago. The fact of the matter is that the Prussian Educational Model used by the Public School Systems in North America uses a methodology that forces the ideal the the student is unintelligent, or dumb and the teacher therefore, is the route to enlightenment and wisdom...the fact of the matter is that the student is INEXPERIENCED and lacking knowledge in a few primary basics.
