Never was a Journey fan... 10 years old at the time, I can remember this song. Found this video, and it speaks to me and my situation now. Browsing videos, now I can see Journey at that time were total professionals, and anyone that tries to replace Steve Perry, or anyone that tries to cover Faithfully, comes across as amateur and reveals that the simplicity of the song is deceptive. That said, other Journey songs aren't quite as good as this one.

Steve is one of my heroes, but I couldn't dare to proclaim him the best singer of his generation, not even the best AOR singer of his generetion. Think about Lou Gramm or Ann Wilson and not much earlier Paul Rodgers. I'm not saying his not the best, I'm just saying I'm not sure.

I am Filipino and a musician, but it's so obvious Steve is one great singer. Even when he went solo i was still a fan. His voice is one of a kind. I love Neil's guitars here, it's just beautiful, simple but full of emotion.

I am a Filipino and proud of Arnel Pineda's new role with Journey. I watched Steve perry's Journey in 1982 (I think) and watched Arnel's Journey this year. The verdict? Sorry but there is truly only one Journey, the original. I get goosebumps when Steve delivers his unique voice especially with this song. More power to the new Journey!!
