I have to disagree about people saying "i love how every album is different". First, not every album is different. Second, i love a band for what it is, not for what it's not.
i remember the firs time listening to this song, i was like WTF!? because it sounds like electronic music, and believe me that's something i really really hate..
This song should be a big hit. The first time I heard it was at the gym, a little while after the album's release, and I stopped my cardio, ran to the locker, pulled out my phone, and shazam'ed it. Ever since then, I always carry my phone with me during cardio sessions.
This song is amazing!!!!! Is anyone else reminded of 'evil dildo' when the guitar solo kicks in? Mixing the old with the new, love you Molko!!!! Don't ever change!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I've been listening to placebo for 6 or 7 years now.( i'm 18 )
I saw them in Dijon (France) ,Brian molko sings very well, they are all great musicians and steve forrest is very very hot (his bare chest and his blond hair at the end of the concert...) but brian never speaks to the public,he's cold.they are just there, just playing perfectly what's on the cd.
i was a bit disappointed. However, the album is wonderful.
@TheConsolamentum Maybe they hope their fans come to their concerts for the music? Not the interactions? Every band is different. Some talk to their fans nonstop. Others just share the music. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
MY GOD not again. Vincent valentino the singer in The Complicated how was Brians boyfriend 1998-1999 had a nickname Julien Suicied when he played in a band called UGLY CATS whit his littel Brother Raily how hes naicname was Keith Death.
Brian really cant get over this guy SHIT. Vincent Valentino 1969-1999
i like how the sound is "growing" step by step with something like an explosion in the end. when i listened to the beginning i was upset but on the whole the song is SO amazing
I love how every album is so different. There are so many bands that just churn out album after album with the same sound but these guys are not afraid to take risks and go out of their comfort zone.
@theob90 i dont think you can get addicted to ketamine dude, ive snorted it on and off for about a year now. its practically a performance enhancer for me, it just slows down time while you go faster. its pretty recreational from my experience
@daddyfatsaxohten Anyone can get addicted to anything if we're being technical, via mental addiction. Some people can even have physically addicting symptoms come from being mentally addicted. But as far as I know, its not too addictive. But then again, its not a drug I know much of =)
@darkrifts1 fair play. by my definition, and pretty much anyone elses im sure who has fallen into habitual drug use, its only when your application of that particular substance derails your personal psyche and work ethic that it becomes dangerous, and thus addictive - outside of that respect, a little experimentation never hurt anybody :) i mean look at mr. molko, hes fine and dandy still. besides, milk is dangerous if youre an idiot. everything should be kept in moderation - even moderation
For some reason this song reminds me of Brian in a vampire nightclub, with human bait, and the doors lock and the feasting begins as the tempo of the song increases. Lyrics fit, so does style.
*Shrug* My opinion. Not the most epic song on the album, but certainly brilliant nonetheless. I love it.
in my top of Placebo this song, really unique...begining is shocking(first time to listen it i was like ooow this is Placebo???) and the rest is awsome...one of the their best!...u can run but u can´t hide... ;)
I've heard that before, but I'm pretty sure it's just a rumour. Brian denied it and usually he's pretty honest about that kinda thing. And if he took it, he definitely wasn't shooting up cos he has no track marks.
There's this guy whose friends with my friends that messed with my head and caused me a lot of pain and fear. He disappeared from our church for a while and I could finally relax. Now he's reappeared and I can't be in the same room with him because of the strong urge to kill him.
This song really helped me stay in church and gain the confidence I needed. Now, I'm going to ignore him and make him wish he'd never treated me like he did.
THANK YOU, Placebo! Always a comfort to hear you sing!
It's taken a while to decide (just because there is so many choices) but this is my favourite off the new album.
Album of the year, no question about that. It's had tough competition from more popular bands but two big ones which I thought would do better were Kasabian who were hit n' miss and Muse bottled it and whored out to commercialism.
Everything else just does not have the stand out songs and variety that 'Battle for The Sun' has.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Muse? Comercialism? In my very personal opinion, Placebo can fall on the same category. Uprising can be so "Yeah Dude! I'm already watching my name on MTV" as For What It's Worth.
But again...just an opinion. The best 2009 album didn't come from the UK, but Japan.
@KantoIkari indeed man i agree with u, and i dont like their new album, its not a Placebo for me, for me they've lost their unique style, i miss old placebo
placebo are one of those rare bands in which after all these years still produce a sound that isn't any worse than when they released the self-titled,i honestly couldn't pick my favourite of their albums!

my thoughts are not a bad album some good and bad in there. If your honest its very rare new albums are as good as old because the old albums were a new fresh sound from a new fresh band. As for now we are a custom to there sound so difficult to sound fresh to us fans. Plus you can say new and old placebo such as you could say early van gogh to late gogh as an artist. Also you cant tell me this album is anyway near placebo, without out you im nothing, and black market music.

yeah... i felt bad they didn't played this on the concert i went last week... i would love to listen to brian's voice in the first 0.44 seconds, it's amazing. and the guitar at 0.44, great. they're the best
initially wasnt sure of this one however its a grower be warned! now i need a hit every hour from it and its probably maybe my favourite..... but then i struggle to pick a fave...... :D

yeah... i felt bad they didn't played this on the concert i went last week... i would love to listen to brian's voice in the first 0.44 seconds, it's amazing. and the guitar at 0.44, great. they're the best

allright, sounds a little like techno, that beat :D but then again, I didn't really expect them to have more than one minute of techno in the song xD
