  • A great version of this old song, by two classy artists.

  • WOW!!!!! I grew up on The LImeliters and The Kingston Trio's version of this song... this is GREAT!!!!

  • This was our song, and I thought we'd end up happy ever after, like the song says. But now we're not together, and listening to this song always brings tears in my eyes :(

  • nice

  • Sweet sounds of Reggae music!

  • My first "real" boyfriend used to play this song...and many other Jackson Browne songs..."My babies feelin funny in the mornin...she says she's got alot on her mind..." etc. was one of my favorites...!! Love him and thank u for passing it on to all ...MJ

  • Paisleyplace on child's acct: I can't imagine someone not loving this song, esp with Raitt and Browne! I LOVE IT! Brings back memories too. LOL!

  • George: Your kisses (and everything else) are sweeter than wine.

    Mmmmmm. Carolyn

  • this is from the tribute album to pete seeger titled:

"Where Have All The Flowers Gone: The Songs Of Pete Seeger"

  • Nice version, but can't beat the one I grew up with by Jimmy Rodgers. Look him up on YT.

  • Michael Chirrick pointed this one out to me. I love their 'Opening Farewell' duet but this is just great!

I like to think of myself knowledgeable, pop music-wise, but just discovered this one!

    Thanks for posting.

  • gorgeous. Peter Paul and Mary also did a fabulous version of this......

  • Sympathy for the 5 who disliked this, yes. Empathy for them, no no no

  • Weavers did a great version of this.

  • @wolverine84 Personally I like Pete Seegers version best

  • @1canyonguy This is one old tune I have heard versions from the likes of Marlene Dietrich forgive my spelling but this is the first version I heard and I was weak from it. Not to say one is better that the other but this version rocks me for it was my first.

  • wow this is great never heard this before great tune has a lil bit of reggee to it

  • JB is amazing, and Linda is also great. I love how both are still friends after over 30 years, still playing music together, still retaining their beautiful music style

  • I see they were on stage for John Edwards in '08. Picked the wrong horse in more ways than one.

  • I wanna play this song at my wedding. It's so sweet and it ilustrates a life that anyone would want!

  • awesome..... love it! love their voices :)

  • Two California kids! Excellent song writers both, and Bonnie the preeminent women's vocalist of her time. Some of the best stuff coming out of the baby boomer generation. Jackson quit smoking cigarettes I want you to live a long time!

  • This song is originally of Jimmie Rodgers. I think the better is the original one.

  • i love it! I feel like a single blade of grass growing in the large front yard of a mCmansion! or is that the ex?

  • Very nice / original cover of the 1957 Jimmie Rodgers #3 hit Great Job they did thanx for posting it Highcoaster......

  • @SEVFEST Actually, I'm pretty sure this was written by the Weavers, including Pete Seeger in 1950. No matter. It's one of those songs that's beautiful no matter who songs it.

  • @Highcoaster75 Funny, isn't it?, maybe he still admires Mussolini, ha ha.

  • prelijepa pijesma-pozdrav iz Bosne i Hercegovine..

Beutiful song-I love it and my American Girlfriend loves it as well.. Our song :))...Peace and Love from Bosnia..

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • Usually I prefer the original artists performing their song, but this one is awesome. Love the feel of it, and the vocals are great.

  • Never heard them do this song before & I've been following them since the early 70s. I saw her open a show for him my freshman yr of college & can still remember alot about it all these years later. Anyone know if a recording of this song is available?

  • i had this record on a old 78 by jimmy rodgers it was great then and still great now

  • I've seen them in concert many times over the years; the 1st time, she opened the show for him. Century Theater, Buffalo, NY. Fall 1974, as I recall.

  • Nothing better

  • this was a song I played fot my wife for over 50 yrs

  • @THEBODYISOLD That's really sweet!

  • love the reggae sound of the song

  • lagu favourite den ni ..

  • Both of their voices are amazing together. I like how Bonnie just hits the notes too, I really enjoy her voice.

  • Just a perfect pairing of souls and like minds, singers, writers, musicians, two of the best examples of their generation. In a time when everything is about self, these two "stars" always

championed those that came before them, great human beings, certainly not perfect. More like a brother/sister team, this poignant song(around for years) takes on such meaning when relationships are so fragile. Nice light reggae never gets in the way of the words. Tow of my favorites growing up in the 70's.

  • Been a JB & Bonnie fan for decades. Never heard this. Too cool for school. Love the regae treatment.

  • cool

  • Great version of this song. Genuinly sung as a duet: You really get a feeling that Jackson and Bonnie are an old couple telling the story of their life together with kids and grandchildren

  • Even if you've heard the song a hundred times before, this version is a revelation. Just love it!

  • Wow! Love it!

  • they are both as good as wine , they matured so well!!!!, amazing song , voices from heaven

  • This is a Pete Seeger song.

  • What a great version. I used to listen to this song as a kid circa 1968. It was sung by Andy Williams! Does anybody know who wrote this?

  • @rckymtnhighs The Weavers wrote this tune in about 1950. The music was credited to "Joel Newman", the lyrics to "Paul Campbell". Paul Campbell was a pseudonym for Howard Richmond, publisher of The Weavers, who were originally Seeger, Hays, Fred Hellerman and Ronnie Gilbert.

  • true the weevers did this tailered version first; but they got it from a version sung by Led Belly who got it from someone who sung a celtic version. Led Belly liked the tune but changed the Galic word for milk to wine and pretty much was the orginator of the "kisses sweeter than wine" song

  • What's your source on that? Mine is wikipedia -- not that I believe everything there!

  • great version,glad I found it

  • i know, this is my favorite version as well

  • always loved bonnie. didnt' know this cover existed. :D

  • einfach schön...und soooviel gefühl..

  • 1.000.000 ****************

    video.

  • really love this version out of the ones I've heard so far.

  • I guess Jackson and Bonnie feel like jerks now for having supported John Edwards

  • Awesome timeless / classic oldie ... great lyrics, and wonderful reggae interpretation. Best version indeed!!

  • Purely and simply wonderful!

  • great version of a classic!

  • Good reggae version, ranks up there with the Jimmie Rodgers version.

  • Back to the well.

  • Great rendition. Thanks for sharihg.5***** G.G.

  • First time I ever heard this version. Great Video and Great Music.

  • Bet Jackson's kisses are sweeter than wine...

  • @ninatwo At last! I have found someone also in love with Jackson Browne! I am 23 years old, and I still find him so sexy, even now.

  • @estherfreak I agree, it's hard to find anyone, especially younger generations who know who JB is, Jackson is a wonderful musician and activist, similar to James Taylor in a way, yet never got as famous as James. I agree, he still ooks amazingly young and handsome even today, you'd never guess how old he is if you didn't already know

  • Nice compilation. I love Jackson's music. I hope he'll add a stop in Utah to his tour this year!

  • It should be noted that this was originally a song by The Weavers; but based on a traditional Irish tune that was given blues chords by Huddie Ledbetter in the late '30s. Browne & Raitt cover it beautifully as a duet, methinks.

  • A beautiful song, the singing those two do is always beautiful though

  • Du o jag är läskigt lika...den här låten hade jag också tänkt att lägga upp här *S*

Jag får väl kontra med någon annan låt m JB & Bonnie!

BTW: Kul med en fanclub ; )

As a long time fan I see it as an obligation to spread the magic tunes of Jackson!

Since our man himself doesn´t make that many videos we (I´m a friend of Swetomsawyer)thought that we´d give him a helping hand ;).

Let us just hope that they will let the videos stay in here! It´s made by fans - for fans,no harm done!
