DmC Dante is rather obviously not the same person as DMC Dante, most likely some descendant, or an alternate world, or just another demon-human coincidentally named Dante

the new DMC is not part of the main story. so fans of the first 4 have nothing to worry about. the Dante we know and love is not ruined at all. the new one is like a new but separate take on the series. its like how Daniel Craig became the new Bond and not everybody who are loyal to the first 20 liked it. we can throw insults all we want but its not gonna change. the DmC game that will be coming out will happen no matter what. look at the bright side people, Capcom will take note of your opinion
@dmc34 either way capcom created dante, without them we never would have played devil may cry because it wouldn't exist. that's why it pisses me off when people complain, it's their game and they can do whatever they want with it.
I think what they did in Devil May cry 4 ending is quite bad , In a way that Dante gave Yamato to Nero. Imagine Vergil returns.. The first thing he would do , Get back his Yamato that belongs to a true son of Sparda and you will believe that Vergil might be very pissed that his Yamato was given to a kid. That would be awesome to see but even if he came back.. What weapon do you think Vergil will use temporally ?
When I saw the trailer to DMC5 I was disappointed by their choice of time and setting, but still intrigued by the direction they would take with it. I'll probably get it either way as long as they make it fun and interesting.

Also, how did Ivory and evony. go from being glocks/m9s/ p226 or whatever to Desert Eagles? Or how old would that make Dante, like 14? Or why he has rebellion instead of shapeshifting sword

They are retelling the storyline from scratch as it is a DMC from a UK developer's perspective. This Dante is half angel, half demon and half human. Yeah 3 parts in a half but it's pretty much true that it isn't the same Dante as in the Japanese DMC Dante,.
@ninjadragonball Since my comment more has been revealed which may be saddening for some. Yes it is a younger Dante but the game still strays away from the original story. However the theory of why his hair is not white hasn't been shot down yet. Which was he hasn't awakened his devil side giving him a more normal human look. White hair runs in his devil blood. Just theories don't hold me against anything.

@xenonzx You will be disappointed to know that it is not the same Dante. A young Dante but not the same. They are retelling the storyline from scratch as it is a DMC from a UK developer's perspective. This Dante is half angel, half demon and half human. Yeah 3 parts in a half but it's pretty much true that it isn't the same Dante as in the Japanese DMC Dante,.

@ninjadragonball Since my comment more has been revealed which may be saddening for some. Yes it is a younger Dante but the game still strays away from the original story. However the theory of why his hair is not white hasn't been shot down yet. Which was he hasn't awakened his devil side giving him a more normal human look. White hair runs in his devil blood. Just theories don't hold me against anything.

Yes it had the best graphics but it's fourth out the five of them the newest one being the least likly i'll enjoy but i liked the third the best mostly with the 'brotherly love' between Dante and vergil and the saound track kicked ass the second DMC being a damn close second with the first one being third.
