I had this same tank before I got my 5 gallon, and I watched my Betta fish swim down that tube thing, through the bubbles and everything, all the way to the bottom of it...I thought he was gonna die, but he came out on his own. I took the bubbler out after that, and he's still alive and well today. Scared the hell out of me though.

@metakight4 I had my betta in that same tank for about four months, he did great in it. But I got a larger tank for Christmas, so I put him in the new one. He seems to like the new one better. He blew a bubble nest within the first couple hours in it!

Your betta fish is ready for mating, but if you aren't going to mate it i would suggest you should remove the bubbles at the top.

I had the same tank for a long time. 3 bettas, one after the other and all of them died :( the first betta was a shiny blue male, then a red betta, then a green bettta. I had it before i knew a lot about fish and i could't do anything :(

Oh my god this is the tank i have for my betta fish Powder!!!!! It's a one gallon tank with air bubbles. Nope, it's not too strong. It works good but the light gets really hot so you have to turn it off once in awhile to let it cool... plus there is a covering on the light so that when the water splashes it protects the bulb :D

I have the same tank! It's a little one gallon but it only costs like 20 dollars! Oh and the air pump activates the under gravel filter. A lot of people were asking about that. Oh and my betta and his tank will be featured in tomorrows video on my second channel! Go check it out!

They are labyrinth fish, and have a unique ability to breathe from the surface; but they are still fish. Betta are just extremely hardy fish, and able to cling to life in the worst of conditions. you dont have to have an oxygen pump in the tank ( you know, the thing that blows out bubbles) because betta fish are labyrith fishes which means they take their oxygen from the air thats why its ok to put them in bowls

is that tank some sort of biorb? ive seen them before but cant remamber what they are called!!! im getting a red betta like yours, in a baby biorb( or a large fish bowl), with red and clear glass nuggets at bottom, red puff balls and red plant. georgeous betta, really bright red! thats a sign of it being happy, and healthy! x chloe x
