i am not agenst the wii at all but damn you nintendo! i was this close to complete the collection of the series on the ps2 until they took the series away and locks it in japan :(

now i was hoping to tecmo to remake the series fatal frame 1 , 2 , 3 and hopefully 4 and released fatal frame 5 all on the ps3 and 360 some day youknow the series have saw the light of day first on a sony's console the ps2 than it ported to xbox " no gamecube release! " than all of a sudden FF4 is a Wii ?!?!

They underestimate how many fans they really have outside of japan. It's a mistake on their part. Maybe tecmo just wants to get it over with and break away from Nintendo and return home to the PS/XBOX.

Hopefully this isn't a remake. Maybe the lingering scent ending in FF2 is canon and after the events of FF3 Mio finds her way back to the lost village and saves Mayu from the fate of the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual.

I actually have a good feeling that this is coming oversea to us and eu! because after the english patch was realesed for the 4th game it became the most sold on both play-asia and yes-asia! How can nintendo ignore that? Also they would earn so much more money if they realesed it outside japan...I would buy it!

But yeah this game is soon realesed in japan, so all we can do is to keep our fingers crossed <3

I wonder if nintendo will do the same with ff2 you know announce the game for Europe but then back out a month before release like they did with ff4!

Plus alot of USA fans were pissed assuming Europe gets it, America will probably get it too which usually happens!

@SirTobbii It actually sold really well in Japan and got great reviews. Im more annoyed that they didnt give us an explaination what so ever. Even Japan was sad that they couldnt share the 4th game with us. I guess the games we do have will forever be an underground hit and we'll never see new games...damn it...

@UtenaOfRoses Fatal Frame 4 sold around 70000 copies in Japan, that's not great sales for a big franchise like that. Reviews doesn't affect either really, remember Another Code? The sequel was released in Jap/Eur because both regions bought the first one, but it did not sell well in the US so they did not get the sequel at all. But they got great reviews worldwide. At least people can be happy there is a fan-translation now.

@SaveMeMoon i know it's a 11 month old comment but the fact why people's saying that is because the series is known the most on sony's ps2 and it's also ported on the original xbox which it's supposed to continue the series on the ps3 and xbox 360 the series never ever released on nintendo console that is the gamecube back then and now the 4th is a wii which makes every one get confused at least they could give the ps3 / 360 a port of it but nintendo made it an exclusive + jap only!

Oh goodie. From the people that didn't bring you Fatal Frame 4, here comes the next great innovation of the Zero horror series....a retread of the same plotline you played 8 years ago! Actually, its a brilliant marketing gimmick, all gods village was a hellish place that reenacted the events of this horrible ritual gone wrong....and now you get to reenact guiding your character through the game with a much more broken and hellish control system. Perfect way to capture the mood.

@Hellcat87 Temco made a deal with Nintendo to release 3 Fatal Frame games on the console. Grasshopper Manufacture(No More Heroes, Killer 7) developed 4. It had ass loads of bugs and slow downs and they saw it not fit to release due this and the uncertain of the franchise's standing in the US/EUR after FF3:"The flop". FF2 is the besting selling game of the franchise outside of Japan(FF4 is there) so it's pretty clear they are trying to regain favor in our territories.

@Gotenks45 erm...ff4 wasnt very glitchy - theres just camera photo glitch were you can get all the ghosts and a one glitch that crashes the game. there is odd slow-down but rarely. Trust me, this isnt the end all, they could have easily fixed this particular after all the effort that went into the game so Im assuming it was Nintendo that wasnt too bothered about releasing a hardcore horror game to their more casual game audience

@patsybob There was considerable amount of control bugs aside from the glitches. They were quite bothersome in small areas and there was this consistent slow down near that moon lit window in the ward on the 1st floor and at the entrance to the underground shrine. No doubt, simple fixes could be done. A fan could even fix these, but temco was very upset none the less. We'll see what happens.
