@commodore256 well...i think the cult aspect is kinda dying out with the adoption of its products by average consumers..who really don't care or have time for the cult things lol...those new ppl will just become fans,
@KaPOWitsCHRIS Everybody's different, but most non-geeks want an out-of-the box experience.
I'm the kind of person that doesn't care if I get a Fisher Price/Nick Jr. themed Tablet, just as long as it' it has TV-out, SDXC Card, host USB, (Ideally 3.0) a way to remove the battery. a way to boot from SD Card it's at a good price and I can root it and re-theme it.
Yeah, I agree with you completely, Steve is not totally gone, he's on the board. Go Tim Cook! Give Tim a year to steer the ship and then I'll decide how much I like him.
I first heard about this shocking news on my iPhone, than I read the story in detail on my iPad, than I went watched YouTube videos about it on my MacBook Air.
wow, I was just looking at YouTube all night and I thought this was an old video from the part when Steve Jobs took leave of absent. Wow, I am shocked and a little worries of the future creativity and vision of Apple, how your video help me see that this is a good move in that Steve is still around and will have more time to be apple's visionary. Also his successor is already trained and ready to go and willing to follow the visions of Apple
CEO succession isn't unpredicted and those products boosted Apple to current state wasn't invented by Jobs alone. I guess people are a bit over reacting.
I think Steve knows that apple has reached its peak in global sales and popularity and he knows that it will, from now slowly start to decline and become just another company
Oh and... life is limited. One can not expect one to stay in for a million years. It matters how they performed in THEIR given time. SJ done well, lets see if Tim can continue to do what SJ set out.
Am I upset about Steve's health, sure. I hope his health improves. Am I upset he left Apple - nop. He's taken medical leave a few times so this resignation shouldn't come as a surprise. As he said, if he can't physically manage the company - why should he stay on just for status quo? He done the right thing. In addition to this, I think its going to be exciting times as to how Apple performs from hereon. No doubt there is a great team behind the SJ but lets see that in practice. Youll be missed.
He will be dead soon, there is NO way Steve would resign unless he thought we was going to get better....

@DRBUK OK, so it's just for consumers looking for pseudo-geek toys now?
For me a true geek gets down and dirty with customization and makes the device suite them.
commodore256 6 months ago
@commodore256 but what if the device already suits them when they purchase it?
