I think the podcast did an effective job. A movie had to be shot, not exclusively because of this podcast, but it definately marked the start.

I'll reserve judgement on sacha until the full thing comes out on tv. What I find extremely distasteful is using kids in demonstrations, which the 'yes on prop 8' lot were doing, there were kids in that who obviously didn't know any better and would not be able to form proper judgements.

I wonder if the news cameraman was even give a heads up that an entire film crew has suddenly moved in behind him, since a cameraman's focus is mostly in the viewfinder in front of him.

I wonder if Bruno's crew, shooting without permits, had just let the news guy keep shooting, maybe there would have never been a thug story?

According to the LA film permit office, Bruno film crew did not have a permit to be shooting at that location.

The news cam was approved to be there by the LAPD. It was the film crew who wasn't. As seen, the Bruno crew was shut down by the police while the news cameraman was allowed to continue.

The news cam never was even informed a film shoot was occuring. He was just suddenly in the midst of Cohen's punking. No one informed him of the filming because it was spontaneous and illegal.
