Sick song. Rarely do I like chick songs as much as I like this one. And thanks for posting the vid. Last night I had to crawl from tree to tree after each fall lol and now I'll be trying this!
Great tutorial on difficult, but not glamorous stilt moves. I got the Powerisers in the mail two days ago and can walk, run, hover, bounce...but am loathe to practice the stand up after taking out three slates from the vertical blinds....
Tha hat trick thing is essential but spooky......gotta put that on the plan if temps fall below 105 any time soon.
@predatorshockey23 How? I just got powerisers, and my mom used to have to help me get up after a fall. now i can get up after a fall, and i can pick up an elbow pad or anything i might drop. this was a useful vid, great job!
What are you using to protect your shin's? Shin guards or knee pads? I need to get some protective leg gear for my Powerisers to continue using them. Thanks and hope to get reply soon.
@Masterpencil They're over-sized knee-pads, used for sheetrocking I think (got them at a hardware store). I picked them because they had a groove down the middle for the knee-bar of the stilts to fit into. I added a picture link of my pads in the botom of the info. hope this helps.
So this is how you get up.. how do you get Down from these things? I saw them years ago and am still pondering getting a pair XD they look like so much fun. Are they easy to learn to walk in?
There's been two instances Ive heard them breaking. But for the most part if you buy the right weight range they are very durable. The material wears down overtime so eventually you buy new springs. They cost like $60 each depending on what model you get.
as far as this particular tutorial goes, it doesnt matter the brand. Now, if I was flipping over cars, and said 'buy now for $99', yeah, the cheapo's wouldnt cut it.
I used Flying Loccusts, and I'll have everyone know, they broke irrepairably after 9 months. (Im good at fixing things, and trust me. they arent worth it)
says the user WITHOUT stilts. But your right I guess. The world would much prefer Saftey Sock Laughs Alot when it comes to the future of Film Making.
To Everyon Else, thanks for the comments. This is a 'how-to' video, NOT an extreme sports entertainment clip, and I appreciate those who realize that.
As for standing still, it is near imposible. A back and forth stance (simular to the 'hover') is required, much like a unicylce. Actually, begginers should learn to walk before the stand.
more amusing commentz ;)i am GUESSIN, if u wanna stand still to hang out with the nearest ledge LOL...am getting some sooon.hope its not as hard to learn as the unicycle was!
The multiple angles were requested from alot of users in the poweriserpages fourum. This tutorial was made for those who have and use these stilts. So, enjoy and have fun!
yeah i have theses and i suck at trying to sit down without breaking my wrists. do you have a tutorial on that or one on wipe out recovery without just slamming down on your wrist pads
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
is this another sport like skating where you never see any heavy weights with mass, most skaters are about 130lbs of wussiness they think they are tough thou lol
Also how tall are you? because in sure that being taller would help with the reach, I dout that i would be able to pick up a Juggling Club if i dropped one (which i do quite regularly)
I have a pair of these and i am not tring to discourage anyone who likes them or wants to buy them but they are not easy to use and takes tons of practice.
im going to disagree 100% to this comment. i got my powerisers last week. ive been on them for bout 5 hours. and the last two i have been walking round my back garden freely unsupported, walking backwards and small jumps.
tip: practice in a narrow corridor for support.
and...i have yet to fall over, or even come close...and i was useless on stilts a year ago. so dont be discouraged. they are simply brilliant and great fun
Waste of yours. Not necessarily a waste of everyone elses. I'm watching this and concidering buying the damn things, trying to figure out is it worth it, so nope. Definately not a waste of my time. But yeah, some people just GOT to be negative all the time.

it gets very tireing. you need alot of endurance to run and bounce for a decent amount of time.

A juggling club isn't too hard, I'm not 100% at picking them up but you will learn it quite quickly.
Tyre socks are also very helpful to give the extra grip required BTW.
