I really wanted to like this movie, and I commend the actresses on their performances in it, but... Am I the only one who found the 'single female problems' and other 'women problems' annoying? I mean, I'm female, I want to see women get good parts, more quality parts in comedy. BUT why write it about getting married as if that is the only subject matter appropriate for an all-woman cast? Melissa made the movie bearable. Mya & Kristen were rlly good, but their characters' stories were blah.

@djifnf I thought that the movie made fun of the idea that the wedding is the central in part through Wiig's character's disdain or separateness from it. I saw the wedding as an event in their lives that brought all these people together that wouldn't have otherwise come together and resulted in changes between Wiig's and Ruldoph's friendships. The wedding was institutionally central yes, but in terms of depth of relationships, the friendships seemed to count more.
