  • I knew there was a reason why I liked the opening theme for Mystery's Zen (staring Rufus Sewell) - it was based on this piece! Too cool.

  • The theme to this concerto is the same as his trio for recorder, oboe, and bassoon!

  • Great piece! Thanks tiad

  • One of my favourit Vivaldi concerto movements. What is it that makes it so special; there is a theme so full of melancholy, with some surprising harmonies, and so sparkling with syncopations, and than what about these rich inner voices that keep on popping up, it goes on and on...

The whole gives me the impression of a bunch of gay people celebrating 'Carnavale' (in Venice of course) , going for a last, little sad but at the same time happy, crazy parade through the alleys of the city.
