From what I was told by some close friends of hers,Valli gave up dancing long ago when she married a Sri Lankan businessman and settled down in Colombo. Pity, but it was her choice.

what happened to valli subbiah? one finds no references to her after the 1980s. she seems to have disappeared into thin air. i also remember seeing her in a gitagovinda series shot at kalakshetra and produced by ignca (i think), in which she plays radha. the dancer who plays the sakhi in that series was also really good. haven't seen any more of her either!

No Her arangetram was in the Kalakshetra docu I posted to google last year & was uploaded to Youtube from there by sancharam.

I removed ALL of my google stuff as it was appearing on youtube without any reference to where they took it from. Like passing it off as being from themselves & taking credit for stealing it.
