Animals are like humans. They need a lot of love, care and attention. If they don't get that they can end up in pain. In severe pain. Animals are helpless, they can't tell us what's going on in their little heads. It's so sad to see these animals get tortured. I plan to be an english pointer breeder But I let my dog run around in a 300 acre paddock every week and let them live every day in a 1/2 an acre yard and put them in nice warm blankets and kennels every night.

I have worked for 2 yrs or more to try to get these people arrested once and for all. They have now established more mills in surrounding states. MO KY AR IL.

What does it take to get these people? We tried everything. The USDA....they found nothing they said.

If they have to breed at least treat the dogs with love and care. Don't just think you can put them in a cage and breed 10-20 dogs a week or something less. Sheesh! have some sense into these dogs. Breed is a good thing but not to an extent where they are unable to exercise, good diet, and move around not in that ridiculously small cage.

What's heartbreaking is that for a short time while they were in protective custody, they knew love, kindness, shelter from the weather, and all the things any animal SHOULD have. To be sent back to that hell hole simply defies belief. With a "vet" who clearly must be getting kickbacks from these sick people, nothing will ever happen. The court obviously has some questionable connections as well, or else they would have demanded an independent vet do the inspections. It's sad beyond words.
I saved a pup from the local dog shelter and I have NEVER once regretted it, she is the most loving dog I have ever had, and after my research as of late, I am starting to despise pet shops, how can THEY let it go on?? As a veterinary technology student, the thing that most disgusts me is how the veterinarian -- who swore an oath to protect and care for animals, just as doctors do for humans -- would go and deem the conditions alright and allow the dogs to remain there. If it was me, I'd be testifying against those assholes. No amount of money could buy MY dignity or compassion for these poor animals.

Everyone has different ideas about breeders and shelters etc, I have only had dogs from breeders and haven't had trouble but known many people with shelter dogs with no problems, it could be either way, both have risks, face it
well people dont just want mutts. which is what most shelters have. they want a specific type of dog. i agree i would not buy one at a pet store. i would go to a breeder because i would want a purebred healthy dog. if i wanted a mutt i would just go to the shelter.
well almost 100% of dogs at stores and breeders are purebreed. when my gf wanted a chocolate lab she called like every shelter in nh and not even 1 had a puppy. not to mention a chocolate lab. so yea i think im going to get one from a breeder
at shelters- you can be put on a waiting list to the specific dog you want. and it's much better spending $20 at a shelter over $2,000 for a full-breed.
maybe you should look up the problems with full-breed dogs.
1. they die younger
2. they usually have heart illnesses
3. and they will eventually have a disease
-becasue most full-breed animals
are inbred (incest) or line-breed = unhealthy puppy.
why help animal breeders when there are 3-4 million animals homeless in a shelter.

I plan to be an english pointer breeder But I let my dog run around in a 300 acre paddock every week and let them live every day in a 1/2 an acre yard and put them in nice warm blankets and kennels every night.

@cutiee7899 Puppy mill is a horrible place that breeds dogs constantly. The breeder neglects the parent dogs' condition except for the new born. The new born will be sold at pet shops. They are too cheap to give the dogs more food, put them in cages that give them less space to walk around, neglect medical condition. You do not want to support puppy mills.

Yes you would think that the video alone would have been enough.
The dogs were returned to the VET! And the owner had to tk care of them for 6 mts at the vets and then they were returned to her.
In the south the good ole boy system is still well in place. If you have money or friends in hi places you can buy your way out of ANYTHING here.
Like I said we worked over 2 yrs trying to get these people in jail.

I have worked for 2 yrs or more to try to get these people arrested once and for all. They have now established more mills in surrounding states. MO KY AR IL.
Not only is it the 2 of them it is the whole family. Has a daughter in Union City Tn who also does this. Just sited for a dead dog.
What does it take to get these people? We tried everything. The USDA....they found nothing they said.
These people will always want to MEET you. Insist on coming to their home and SEEING the dog.

The owners of this establishment should be charged as michael vick and sentenced to no less than 5 years in prison with no parole. Obviously between the owners and the doc its all about the money. this is just sick, i am only 15 and this video insppires me to do more. people like this shouldnt be in our world at all. who is to say that a dogs life is less then a humans. looking at fully grown dogs. ones that should be running around in the back yard, looking at them locked up in such a small area so that they couldnt turn around makes me feel ashamed at the human race. i couldnt even begin to imagine if i had to stay in half a metre square for the rest of my life

If they have to breed at least treat the dogs with love and care. Don't just think you can put them in a cage and breed 10-20 dogs a week or something less. Sheesh! have some sense into these dogs. Breed is a good thing but not to an extent where they are unable to exercise, good diet, and move around not in that ridiculously small cage.

Yes and this was the second bust. Had been arrested 2 yrs prior in Dyer Co. Also let go and moved to Obion co and arrested again and let go. Judge, Da, and vet all buddies/ good ole boy stystem

I wasn't talking bad about a law against these mills, the poster I commented to stated that it was stupid for a seatbelt law to be made over a puppy mill law. I concur, as to the fact that seatbelts save human lives. Yeah, once your over 18, or 21, the law shouldn't apply, but it does. Thats beside the point. Point is, a seatbelt law was made before puppy mill law b/c seatbelts save human lives.

What's heartbreaking is that for a short time while they were in protective custody, they knew love, kindness, shelter from the weather, and all the things any animal SHOULD have. To be sent back to that hell hole simply defies belief. With a "vet" who clearly must be getting kickbacks from these sick people, nothing will ever happen. The court obviously has some questionable connections as well, or else they would have demanded an independent vet do the inspections. It's sad beyond words.

I saved a pup from the local dog shelter and I have NEVER once regretted it, she is the most loving dog I have ever had, and after my research as of late, I am starting to despise pet shops, how can THEY let it go on?? Earning money from suffering is wrong!? The voices of animals cannot be heard but we have to be their voice, we have to stand up for them.

If everybody who wants a dog for a pet be it thoroughbred or mongrel buy them from a dog shelter/pound then there would be no need for ANY breeders. I dislike ANYONE making money through breeding when there are thousands of healthy dogs/cats being put down every day.

Why ? If you MUST have a pure breed then why not rescue one of them ? Breeders only breed to make money. They strive for the perfect dog & create all sorts of problems with the breed by doing so. It's been said before but pure breeds are weaker with health problems. If breeders would just STOP breeding & make their money doing something more useful then the animal shelters would empty eventually ( I would like to think ! )

Actually, "show" breeders aren't that great either, look at what they've done to the conformation of these dogs using high amounts of inbreeding.
It's not just been said that purebreds are weaker, it has been documented in Scandinavian dog health insurance scheme.
However, if someone wants a dog for a particular purpose, say SAR, it maybe necessary to selectively breed for that.

As a veterinary technology student, the thing that most disgusts me is how the veterinarian -- who swore an oath to protect and care for animals, just as doctors do for humans -- would go and deem the conditions alright and allow the dogs to remain there. If it was me, I'd be testifying against those assholes. No amount of money could buy MY dignity or compassion for these poor animals.

Puppy mills are a tragedy indeed. But too many tragedies in this world due to human greed, apathy, need to dominate and sense of superiority. Look at the millions of children in the slums of India, Africa etc... They live in conditions as sad as the breeding dogs in puppy mills. Look at all the animals slaughtered or used cruelly for medicine harvesting etc... Just too many tragedies. The human race is quite ugly at times. God wake us all up. The madness better stop.

Everyone has different ideas about breeders and shelters etc, I have only had dogs from breeders and haven't had trouble but known many people with shelter dogs with no problems, it could be either way, both have risks, face it

at shelters- you can be put on a waiting list to the specific dog you want. and it's much better spending $20 at a shelter over $2,000 for a full-breed.
maybe you should look up the problems with full-breed dogs.
1. they die younger
2. they usually have heart illnesses
3. and they will eventually have a disease
-becasue most full-breed animals
are inbred (incest) or line-breed = unhealthy puppy.
why help animal breeders when there are 3-4 million animals homeless in a shelter.

Second, I'm in the veterinary field-I've seen purebred "breeder" puppies with deformities, protozoan infections, demodex (you might have to Wikepedia that) the list goes on. I personally hand picked fleas off of young puppies! The conditons of these animals were horrible. You should be ashamed of yourself for spreading these lies.. Maybe the reason you are so against this group is because you yourself operate a puppy mill...

Look, maybe we see different things in that video. Maybe we read the independent vet reports differently. Maybe we feel differently philosophically about the puppy mill industry. What should be able to agree on is that the GOHS and the criminal backgrounds have nothing to do with it. Please explain why they have anything to do with it? These dogs were living a life that no animal deserves. Period. Charles Manson could have busted that puppy mill, and I would still thank him for doing it.
