It's hand made. You should be able to hire a machinist to build you one or try and talk your way into buying one at one of the model engineer shows. Good luck.
This is AWESOME!!! I want to build something that nice and detailed in future. I just started with rotor from a drill, two pieces of steel and HDD neodymium magnets. It looks like old horseshoe dynamo, but is very bad. Has 5Watts.
this could be paired up with the solar lenses or fersnel lenses I believe they're called. or the "salad bowl" sterling setup and be completely green for 20+ years :]
I don't have the technical details, but it was converted to run on compressed air. I believe it was originally fitted to run as a gas spark ingnited engine, yes. Many at these types of shows do.
