An English study has proven that he was wrong on many of his calls agaist the umpire. Umpire 61% - McEnroe 39%...let's say that he was great and quite entartaining too but not the greatest :)

And he was once defauted from a whole tournament, the Australian open 1990 i think, after 3 defaults in a row against Mikaeal Perfors, which he took very well, considering he was a little hard done by but long over due, considering his behavior of past tournaments but it was the Ausie open that had the guts to do it. Mac's a great guy, great tennis.

I approached him jokingly one day to hit with me and he invited me to hit with him at Tennis Port in Queens where he works out.
