Quite interestingly there are tens of thousands of people visiting the dargah day by day.

Of course Mecca is THE pilgrimage site for a true muslim, but that doesn't mean one cannot visit the tomb of saints. It is not ignorance you know, but instead it gives inspiration to those going there, especially as it is the resting place of a man who died during his Hajj.

I don't think this song is ment only for Shi'a Muslims, as Haji Ali himself was not a Shi'ite Muslim.

In the full version of this song by Rehman there's a verse saying: "Yahaan Hindu Muslim Sikh Isaai Faiz Paate Hain". This is in line with the fact that Haji Ali's Dargah is visited by many pilgrims belonging to different religions.

What a stupid thing to say! This song transcends Shia and Sunni, it is about sufism. I am Sunni and I dont believe in Peer Fakirs but I still like the sufi devotion in this song. And yes plenty of sunnis like me go and visit Haji Ali. Not to mention plenty of hindus and christians also visit Haji Ali. For me, Haji Ali dargah is about peace, spirituality and pluralism. But something tells me such higher concepts are beyond your ability to grasp!
